The staff were lovely and friendly and the breakfast was nice but the light didnt work in our room so we were in darkness and the window was broken which made the room really cold

This was an absolute dump...No nice way to say it! The entire facility smelled like vomit and mold (In fact, there was vomit in the hallway when we woke up). We left after 1 night. The staff did make an effort to keep it clean, but the disrepair was just too extensive. I've seen homeless shelters in better condition than this facility. I can not stress enough how poor the condition of this facility was. It goes without saying that it was extremely overpriced for the condition of the property. I would definitely not recommend this place to my worst enemy!

Fantastic location right on top of stellar venue. My room was a bit dull: I came back only at like midnight and everyone was in bed with the lights out, and no one else was up yet when I woke up at 8am. The hostel did sponsor an event for the guests every night so if you want to be social I think you can definitely get that here though

Nice location nice staff and a good price
The staff here are welcoming and friendly. There was a problem with my bookig here, but they tried very hard to help me sort out the booking, which I really appreciate. The room is spacious and everything is clean. Breakfast is included, you can enjoy some toast, cereal and fruits.

The property is pretty dated and dirty but it’s because they are so busy all the time. The staff is super nice! My first night there I arrived pretty late and my bed did not have a pillow...I incorrectly thought maybe we needed to bring our own and I ended up having a miserable night of sleep. The next day I noticed all the other beds had pillows so I asked for one and they brought it later. None of the other beds had two pillows so mine was def just not ready. Breakfast is sufficient. You’re close to everything. Even though I booked late and it was for a mixed room, they put me with others of the same gender so I appreciated that.

Great location! Hostel is a nice place to lay your head, but its a little basic compared to many hostels. It was quite crowded in the kitchen and common area in the mornings. But the staff was great, friendly and helpful.

It's a hostel, so do not expect much. The location is the best part about this place. But it is also a downfall since there's no A/C and the window has to be cracked open in summer, resulting in constant street noise way into the evening, partying until 4:30 am, and construction noise starting up at 5:30 am. The stair railings were sticky, like paint that could never dry because of high humidity. The room floor slants toward the street. The bed is hard as a board and the linens thin and scratchy. The towels we were given at the front-desk were frayed and did not smell clean. We were told breakfast was included in our rate and that it started at 7:00 am, but when we made our way down to the lobby from our room and back up a different set of stairs to the kitchen, we found that if you didn't buy your own ingredients the night before to cook for breakfast, then you were going hungry.

Location was very good, few steps away from trinity college, few steps away from the stop where the airport coach leaves you and takes you . The staff was very nice. The price was lower than many other hostels Apart from those, I did not feel comfortable. The bed was very bad. The rooms size of 4 was very small with ensuite bathroom. The ventilation of the room was not adequate, l did not like anything about the room. There was not any privacy certains etc.

Good central location
Centrally located hostel, really close to all the central sights especially Temple Bar and Trinity. We had a private bathroom which was clean with a good shower. Breakfast was basic but sufficient. Also provide evening gatherings, with different themes each night such as board games and cheese and wine.

I booked a 4 bed shared room in this hostel. Staffs are friendly, good location, and very accessible to all transport. Only downfall is, the curtains in the toilets were not in good forms, and since it is located in the city centre, buses and cars who's passing by can see while I was in the toilet. I value my privacy and I hope this can be sorted out. I stayed in Room 1.

Pros: The front desk staff were very helpful and nice when facilitating my check-in and helping me catch the bus to the airport. The second floor kitchen is a nice social space and the free breakfast was generous. Cleaning is daily and the bathrooms have lots of shelving to put your toiletries. I liked the card system to designate beds. Towels and locks are available for a deposit that is returned when the item is given back. Proximity to Trinity College and public transport (including both 747 and 757 Airlink bus lines) was very convenient. Cons: The building itself is old so the carpet/floors were a bit stained. This hostel is definitely not handicap accessible; expect to climb several flights of stairs. I was in a top bunk that felt a bit unsteady, with a gap between the mattress and the wall, so I was worried that myself or my phone charger would fall in the crevice. Overall, a very affordable and relatively comfortable place to stay in downtown Dublin.

Clean facility and very helpful staff. Other guests (hopefully just a one-off situation) were inconsiderate - eating my labeled food from fridge and bringing non-hostel guests into dorm, turning on lights, and being loud at 1am. Fortunately, staff came to remove non-hostel guests.

Traditional Hostel Experience
If you want a very traditional hostel experience, this is the place to be. The overall terrifying feeling of the possibility of all your things being stolen is hard to resist, along with back breaking beds and the 5 story walk up it paints a picture of shabby-chic. The staff seemed sparse and the two individuals we spoke to were wonderfully condescending. There is definitely a certain atmospheric charm to it, if ‘world traveling hipster’ is in your purview. If you are looking for more creature comforts, I would look somewhere else.

Great hostel! Excellent location. Great facilities and well looked after. All the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Only gave 4 out of 5 for room comfort as I'm 6ft 2 and my bed was a bit too small for me but that's pretty standard for me in hostels. Definately recommend and would use agian.

Great city centre location, cheap and cheerful, overall very clean, private room at front of building did hear some road noise at night/morning but didn't bother us as we can sleep through noise. Room was lovely and warm breakfast was better than expected - cereals, fruit and toast, tea coffee and juices, help yourself set up. Great place to meet people if you're on your own. Private room exceeded our expectations for size and cleanliness - no tv but didn't bother us as we were so tired we fell asleep as soon as our heads hit the pillows - which are quite thin and flat. Other than that excellent value for money for a private room in centre of city - but if you're used to a nice expensive hotel this probably isn't the place for you.

Great location
Location can't be beat. Literally less than 1 minute away from major bus stops to train station or airport and 2 big grocery stores. In-house kitchen large size and decent seating to enjoy your meal. Love the daily specials offered by the staff, during the weekend that I stayed, pancakes for breakfast. Cons: only under bed crates and no additional lockers for smaller items. Top bunk no railing on all sides so side touching wall has gap (items/limbs fall down to bunk below). Getting past security pin door with luggage and only one free hand is hard.Narrow hallways that are kept dark with slight delay motion sensor lights so can feel a bit scary to walk through in the late evening.

Possibilities for Improvements
Great amenities were a private bathroom for our bedroom; under the bed crates on wheels that pulled out easily to lock up backpack; a panel of with an night light and 2 UBS plugs above the head of each bed. Female only rooms not an option. WiFi inadequate for the site and pictures could not be downloaded. No raw eggs available to cook for breakfast. Convenient location but consistently loud people outside until at least 2-3am and street traffic beginning at about 6:30am.

Good size private room with bathroom
Our room had two twin bunk beds, 1 closet, desk, and an en suite bathroom. The bathroom and especially the shower didn’t look clean, but at least the water pressure was good. The breakfast included bread, cereal, and fruit. We liked that it was walking distance to Temple Bar area. Heads up, there is no elevator, so you need to walk up your luggage through the narrow stairs and hallways.
