There are billboards advertising this place for hundreds of miles in either direction from the border between North and South Carolina. It just happens to be the exact mid-way point on my travels so I almost always stop there. The food sucks, gas is high, it's dirty and the stores sell some of the most god awful cheesy souvenirs you've ever seen. Still, it's hard to resist the kitschy charm of this neon playground.
