Even though I had the confirmation from Expedia, and called the day before flying to Barbados to “re-confirm”, I find out after I arrive in Barbados with two little kids that the “property would not be able to honor the reservation”. And then spent two hours with an Expedia agent on the phone trying to find a new place to stay (most places were fully booked). Terrible communication from both Expedia and the property. Natalie made arrangements for our Airport Transfer to and from the Villa. She also booked evening entertainment for our first night,at our request, to enjoy the Fabulous Harbour Lights Barbados Dinner and Show. Which was Fabulous. "Amazing stay! We booked for my bachelor party weekend, which was paired with Crop Over, and my entire party agrees the property was incredible. While it might be a little far from the downtown area and the airport, it was perfect for the weekend and for reaching all our excursions and events. The outdoor pool area and views were breathtaking. We had everything we needed at the property, with all questions quickly answered. Initially, upon check-in, there were a lot of centipedes throughout the property (mind you, you're in the jungle). But these were quickly cleaned after day 1 by the property manager/cleaners, which helped uplift the place. After that, we had no complaints. The property could use a few more modern touches, but otherwise, it's easily one of our favorite stays! We'll be back and definitely recommend this if you're visiting Barbados. "

It is roughly 45 minutes from Oistin Fish Market and another nice beach,Brownes. 25 minutes from Holetown and the Mall. And around 30 minutes Bathsheba on the east Coast. "

"We spent 2 weeks at Ancient grove and absolutely loved it. There were 10 in our party including 3 small children and the place was just brilliant. The size of the property was great for such a large group we were able to have all our meals together looking out over one of the most stunning views. I could honestly never get bored of that view.The tranquility of the location was really something else and we were still only 5-10 minutes from some breathtaking beaches. And 10-15 minutes from Holetown. There is also Haymans market which was 2 minutes down the road and was a good place to visit for some nice takeout food or coffees and other things. We were never in the car for longer than 30 minutes getting to anywhere really and we visited lots of different parts of the island. So again the location is ideal.The pool area was perfect for us as well as in the afternoons when it got a bit hot for the children out or at the beach we were able come back to a dappled shaded pool where you over looked a deep grove and still see the Caribbean Sea!The rooms were great. Were were in the bottom room as we had 2 children with us. It was maybe a little less salubrious than the others but we only used it to sleep in any way and worked well for us. We were able to contact the owners easily whenever we needed anything (nothing significant just a broken kettle) and they were very responsive. We had the best time there and would 100% book there again if were to go back to Barbados."
