"The location is very convenient and very quaint. I loved it. What a home away from home. the staff was very friendly and the grotto area was so great. We woke up and on the grass 10 feet from our sliding door was a mother deer and two of her fawns just sitting in the grass. They were so docile and it just seemed normal that they were welcome with those staying there. I will stay here EACH AND EVERY TIME we go to Seattle."

"Wonderful place to stay! Based on the price, I was expecting rooms to be much smaller. Our double queen room didn’t have a lot of extra space but it was well laid out with two bathrooms. We had plenty of space for 2 adults, 2 teens and all of our necessary items. Beds and pillows were great - we all slept well. This location worked well for us with ample parking and the grocery store next door. Friday Harbor is small and this hotel isn’t far from the main parts of town. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else, given the cost difference. It’s a really comfy little place if you’re not looking for something fancy. Looking forward to future visits!"

"“Idyllic” doesn’t begin to describe the experience. The Madrona Suite is a lovely studio apartment situated above the detached garage on this property. The apartment itself is clean, comfortable, well-appointed and beautiful. The queen bed is magnificent and, to my surprise, so was the sleeper sofa. The property is stunning. A long, gravel driveway up a verdant, evergreen hill and through lush undergrowth leads to a clearing with the owners house, the apartment and a stunning, long-range, south-easterly view of Deer Harbor. If one were motivated by tranquility, a week or more could be entirely consumed by meditative walks or pensive moments in the garden and patios. Or, if more adventure is your cup of tea, numerous hikes are an easy drive away. I’ll be back, for sure."
