« We stayed with our kids in the loft room. It was a nice spacious room, and a good layout for traveling with kids. There are however no windows in the room. It wasn't a big deal for our short stay, but I would consider a window room if staying longer. The lodge is right by the lake and we enjoyed watching the water ski show and the outdoor space. « St. Croix Suites sounds nice, the pictures look great online, but the property is disgusting and the others who were staying there... Maybe down on their luck or whatever it maybe, gave a off a vibe that you are going to get mugged, and there are drugs being used and sold all over the property. The guy at the front desk, behind what must be bulletproof glass, was a nice guy, but do not stay at this property. The and our room smelled like someone had been smoking in them for three years...

« The room was average at best. The check-in person was terrible, didn't talk and not helpful at all. He was not at the check-in desk and had to be called on a phone line. When called he was short and acted annoyed. The pool and hot tube area was not lit up and looked like it wasn't open. Since there was no check in staff available to ask, I couldn't use it. I would look for a different hotel if you have to stay in the area! »

It's in the woods but close enough to enjoy a lot of different activities in the Taylor's Falls area. And clean with all of the amenities needed. We contemplated leaving but it was late so we did contact the host as VRBO suggested and she did come right away. She "re- made" the beds with new, clean sheets , replaced the maloderous towels with fresh towels, she addressed a couple of areas needing the most attention and we did stay.
