Staff were friendly and helpful during our stay. Lift was out during part of our stay. Spent ages waiting on hot water as well. So not impressed by the facilities of this place. Breakfast was good though hot food options were limited (scrambled eggs, omelette). There's a few good restaurants near here but it's a bit of walk from the historical centre. It's not on a main road though so don't have the car horns/dog barking that other hotels had!

The beds were comfortable. It was a nice clean property. The front desk person assisted with having a tourist person come to the hotel to assist with the tour to Machu Picchu. Breakfast was great. Had variety of things.

The hotel was average all around but the staff was very helpful in a time of need. We checked in 90 mins early so thankfully they had a room. We had a unique experience as we got admitted into the hospital the night we checked in, and stayed in the hospital both nights , only to get discharged in time to get our bags after check out. So we didn’t actually get to sleep in the hotel beds, but the shower was luke warm, both times. Breakfast is included although we weren’t there to have it. There was some sort of post football game riot with about 60 people and drums going on outside the hotel for an hour when my son tried to sleep between 7-8. I guess it was still early enough for some people, just unfortunate timing for us - but we were headed to the hospital around then anyway. The gentleman at the front was incredibly kind and helpful. When we needed medical help he called the right clinic for us and got the doctor to come to the room. I’m very grateful for his help and kindness in a time of stress. Check out is early -10am. When we needed to delay getting the bags until 12 as we were in the hospital, they were going to charge us $40 but only charged us $20… although it was nice of them to discount it, it still left a bitter taste in my mouth I was paying more given I didn’t even sleep in the bed or eat the breakfast It was a series of unfortunate events, not a typical experience, but what we did experience for a hotel seemed like an average 3 star hotel.

Breakfast was minimal and the hot food was always cold. They only heat your room from 5pm to 8am so you need to keep your coat on during the day in your room, and even when the heat was on the bathroom was cold. Also you need to wear your coat at breakfast as they just have a stand up heater that isn’t sufficient. Housekeeping was excellent. We asked for late checkout and they would only give us an hour without paying a crazy fee. We had been touring South America and this was the first hotel that wanted to charge a fee. Checkout is 10AM. Felt sorry for the staff as the hotel lobby and breakfast area are not heated so they had to wear coats. Area around the hotel is very run down.

Great place
The Yawar Inka is a simple and straightforward place with wonderful people working there. The breakfast was outstanding! Its location was much appreciated, outside of the main central square area.

My wife and I enjoyed the stay here. The front desk staff was very friendly and accomodating. When we needed something or had questions, they were ready and willing to assist. The free tea in the lobby was very nice. There were a few places nearby that we ate at, and a taxi to the historical squares was only about 8 Peruvian Soles so it was not bad at all to get where we wanted to go. Great place to stay.

The hotel is located in a very central area, the rooms are very clean and comfortable beds and the staff is very friendly and kind. Everything was wonderful and next time I come, you’ll definitely know where I’m staying at again .

Pros: The staff at the hotel was amazing, with excellent tips for our trip to Aguas Calientes the next day. The hotel was very nice, offering everything we needed at any time. The endless supply of Coca leaves for warm tea was also very pleasant. Cons: The street at the front of the hotel is being repaired, so access through that side is somewhat hard. They do have a back door being used (although our taxi did not know this and made us walk to the front). Overall: I would definitely recommend and come back. Great experience!

this is one of the best hotels I have stayed in Cusco. Is renovated and modern, its staff is kind and helpful they have breakfast and no restaurant. I will be back to his hotel, this is the type of property you want to be in

Facility is very clean and cozy however, the area surrounding the hotel was under construction and access to main entrance was a dirt walking street. I’m sure this is just temporary.
