« This property is PERFECT, especially if you are visiting someone at Western. It’s an easy 8 minute drive to WCU, and less than 20 minutes to Sylva (where all the good food is!). The check in process is super easy (door code to the cabin) and check out was take out the trash, put the linens and towels in a basket and put the dishes in the sink. We have had to extensively clean VRBO/AirBBs before. This was a breeze! :)The price we paid was substantially less than what parents were paying in town...

« The cabin does smell musty, which is worse in the kitchen and cabinets. I mention for anyone with mold allergies. This is probably expected since it's a rain forest. The house was clean and comfortable. The kitchen has great counter space for cooking and prep. We will definitely stay here again. »

« I concur with all of the positive reviews which are accurate in their descriptions. The bed is a great couple’s bed, super comfy. We loved having the whole of the large bottom deck to ourselves for breakfast in the morning, and glasses of wine at night. As of June, 2026, both cell service and WiFi aren’t great, so I recommend downloading everything (playlists, maps, movies) ahead of time. As most everyone has correctly mentioned, Debi is a fantastic and thoughtful host. We’ll be coming back...

« This cabin was perfect for our girls weekend getaway. Host provided excellent directions (better than the GPS). Would highly recommend Pops Peak to others. Also, very close to the dock for Lake Glenville Waterfall tours ( 5 minutes), which is an excellent excursion to take. »
