Fixed with all the amenities! We built this cabin for a place to get away, relax and make memories with family and friends! Floating, golfing, hunting, hiking, wineries, caves, shops, restaurants, historical sites, etc. are all close. We designed the cabin with the log cabin experience in mind. Log beds, custom log furniture, cedar tables & island, cedar vanities and a relaxing outdoor cabin feel with log benches to sit & relax by the fire pit or play outdoor games. This is a 2000sf cabin with 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a spacious loft, 5 smart TV's, WIFI, board games, kids toys/books, a gaming system and full arcade! It is a fully stocked cabin with everything you with need. All you need to do is pack your bags, grab some groceries/drinks & bring your family & friends! There is parking for up to 7 cars on the driveway and parking pads. We ask that you do not park on the grass as we have a septic tank which can not withstand the pressure of cars. Contact before booking for special rates, discounts and any requests. There are so many fun activities close by: floating, golf, fishing, hunting, hiking, cave tours, wineries, water sports, horseback riding, archery, restaurants, historical sites, shopping, etc. NOTE:: Only persons on the reservation are to be on the premises at any time. Any additional guests to be found shall incur a fee at the owners discretion of a minimum of $150 fine plus additional guest fees. No parties or gatherings unless explicitly approved by the owners prior to check in. ABSOLUTELY NO PETS of any kind. There is a $500 fine for any pets brought on the property plus any additional pet cleaning fee at the owners discretion. The reason for these rules is we must account for liability and insurance for all guests on the property. It is to protect both ourselves and the renters/guests. Additionally, do not unplug or mess with any ring cameras. \*FLOATING: Birds Nest - 5 mins. THEY WILL PICK YOU UP AND DROP YOU BACK OFF AT THE CABIN. Contact owner to help make arrangements. Upstairs there are two more king bedrooms and a loft with a twin/queen bunk bed & a full bed. There are three (3) twin & one (1) queen air mattresses & pump available. Extra blankets, sheets, fleece blankets and pillows are all there for your convenience. There are also 4 animal themed kids sleeping bags for the little ones. All bedrooms are equipped with USB ports on each of the headboard posts, nightstands with antler lamps, a smart TV & ceiling fans. Bathrooms: \*\*\*All bathrooms are stocked with individual bars of face & body soap, individuals shampoo/conditioners bottles, a hair dryer, q-tips, cotton balls & cotton pads. All bath towels, hand towels & wash clothes are provided. Ample toilet paper is provided for each bathroom. \- The master bathroom had a vessel bowl double vanity, walk in tin shower, separate toilet area and scale. \- The upstairs full bath has a vessel bowl double sink, a toilet, and tub/shower combo. \- The half bath has a vessel bowl sink and toilet. Laundry Room: \-The laundry room has a full size stackable washer/dryer. Detergent is provided. \-There is a high chair and pack n play if needed. \-There is a first aid kit, outdoor games, chairs, highchair, vacuum, wet jet, mop, extra cleaning supplies, trash bags, bug spray, iron, ironing board, etc. \-The electrical panel is in the laundry room. We ask that you do not touch it without the permission of the owner. Right off is a gravel area with a picnic table. There is a charcoal grill (please bring own charcoal). We ask that after you grill (and it is completely cooled down) that you replace the grill cover properly. We have a few outdoor games. Fun for everyone!! We just ask that you put them away after use. There is also an industrial light/fan on the gable porch. It is run by remote, which is kept inside on the fireplace mantle. Loft: The loft has games and books for kids as well as a tv, gaming system & full arcade. We just as that you do not bring food or beverages as the gaming systems can be damaged easily. They are inspected after each rental and any damages will be the responsibility of the renter. Fire Pit: Follow a lighted pathway to the fire pit! There are custom log benches where you can sit and roast marshmallows or simply relax by the fire. \*\*\*We ask that each fire is completely extinguished after each use, especially before heading in for the night or leaving the property. General: The thermostat is set to 70\. Please do not adjust to higher than 72 or lower than 70\. It is run remotely and can be reset on our end. There are security cameras on the property and an alarm system on the cabin to ensure accurate check in. They are both deactivated when guests arrive and not reactivated until they depart unless there is an inaccurate guest count or reports of problems on the property. Please do not try to move, block, touch or deactivate them. We respect your privacy and utilize these when the cabin is unoccupied. Séjour de 3 nuits en janvier 2026 ### 8/10 – Bien #### Joel C., Mount Vernon, IA 15 oct. 2025 We had several small issues: internet not working upon arrival, limited TV options, missing or not operable TV remotes in bedrooms, 1 side of toaster nonfunctional, no salt & pepper, stairs are difficult/dangerous for older guests, few horizontal surfaces for storage in bedroom, top of refrigerator quite dirty, no charcoal (advertised as included). Nothing major and considering the host's current circumstances we got by ok. Overall, we had a great time in the area. ##### Joel C. We wanted to do a float trip but didnt want to stay in tents or the typical small cabins that make up the majority of this area. This cabin made our float trip feel very luxorious! Bird's Nest Lodge came and picked us up and dropped us off directly from the driveway, and their 6 mile float was perfect! This place has a wonderful secluded feel, but is only a 5 minute drive to the grocery store. The cabin itself is beautiful inside and out. Had plenty of beds and space for the 10 adults in our party. I can only speak for the master bedroom on the main level, but the bed was very comfortable! We spent a lot of time out back, and the patio and fire pit are great for enjoying the outdoors. I even set up a projector and screen to enjoy a movie outside (plenty of outdoor outlets). Very nice kitchen and living room area as well. Will definitely be a new tradition. House was very clean and comfortable. Tons of room for each guest. The backyard patio, yard, and fire pit were perfect for hanging out, games, and dinners. Kitchen had everything you needed for dinners as well. The host is great too, responding immediately to any questions for check-in and during the stay with questions on the home. The house was slightly tucked away, giving it a cozy and secluded feel, making it the perfect spot for a family getaway!The home had everything we needed, from a fully equipped kitchen to an outdoor fire pit that we all enjoyed. It was perfect for all ages in our family which included little ones. It’s not often that we find a rental that makes everyone happy, but this place truly did.We were able to get away for some fishing, exploring and enjoying outdoor walks. We got really lucky with mild weather and we were even able to enjoy the fire pit one night. The cabin was as advertised. Very good cabin feel. The kitchen was fully stocked and Caroline confirmed ahead of time on a couple items we needed to cook with we’re already there. Local to both golf and floating , plenty of amenities , plenty of room for our group, plenty of parking space . I mean when I say that this place checked ALL THE BOXES. When I booked , the owner Caroline reached out , and I knew from then on , she had our best interests at heart. She got us in contact with both the golf course and the float company. She made the process very smooth and easy. The cabin was absolutely fantastic!!! Everywhere you look , there’s something cooler that makes the cabin unique and special. No detail left out. Perfect for my group. So meticulously cleaned and ready for us. Everything we needed was ready to use . Weather was perfect, had a nice fire to go along with the grilling .i can’t say enough good things about this cabin , pictures just don’t do it justice. Cant hardly believe how this place gets anything less than 10!!!! Would recommend this place to anyone who is even thinking about a nice quiet place with all the bells and whistles you could possibly want. Will definitely be booking again soon. Ps whomever left the bad review , YOU’RE WRONG !!!! And reading the review , seems like you broke a lot of pretty straightforward and simple rules. The cabin inside and out was beautiful. The property owner since day 1 of booking to the end of the stay was very nice and informative. We loved the coziness of the house. It took us a while to clean due to dirt on the floor, dead bugs in closets and bathroom (maybe they had just sprayed?) and debris around patio. I would be careful about staying with small children as the stair and loft banisters were wide enough for children to fit through, and a safety concern. The yard was also long and with ticks being so bad this year, I had to keep the kids on the driveway when playing outside. Fortunately it’s a large driveway but it would have been nice to spend time playing yard games. ##### Rebecca D. Close to both Steelville and Cuba but very quiet and peaceful locale. My family did an early Thankgiving for my grandmother who can no longer host herself. The kitchen had everything one would need, the charcoal grill was great, and the rooms were perfect for the family. The host was responsive and accomodating. The kitchen had all the amenities we needed to cook for 11 all weekend. Everything worked, was easy to find. The decor is so cute and has such a comfortable relaxing vibe. We all loved the sinks!! They were different and just gorgeous. Almost like art pieces. The host was so friendly and easy to work with.
