« We loved our stay at Roots Retreat! We needed to split up a road trip but didn't find anything nearly this nice for the price in Wichita Falls. We loved the contactless check-in, the free snacks, and the adorably decorated rooms! The AC was already set and the room was cool when we arrived, which we appreciated coming in from the Texas heat! « As a precursor there is a data center being built near Vernon which made hotel availability limited and I understand that it is difficult to keep up on everything when it's busy. However, the motel was gross... The tables weren't wiped off from previous people eating on them, there were stains on the bedding, the floor was sticky, the bathroom had grime all over it and dirt in the bathtub. Even the lamps had grime and grease on them. Not sure if this is the norm but if we can stay somewhere else...
