"We had a great stay here ! 100% recommend for anyone looking to unwind and relax ! Our room was upgraded upon arrival, and we had a stellar view of the volcano. We also received complimentary wine and chocolate covered strawberries for my birthday celebration. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and personable during our stay and had great local recommendations. Wish we could have stayed longer, will definitely be returning !! Pura vida"

"An excellent option for a reasonably priced hotel near the airport and with free shuttle service. We were thrilled to discover that breakfast service starts at 5:30 am - a real Bonus when you have an early international flight! The dinner we had at the restaurant was very good, but the buffet breakfast was just okay."

Tabacón Thermal Resort & Spa

"Just returned from a stay at Tabacón. No lengthy review necessary it’s a perfect place to stay when in the Fortuna/Arenal area. The hotel has everything you need, is well maintained, great food and a staff beyond friendly and helpful. The room are clean but use a few upgrades here and there (tv in one room was dated compare with our daughter’s room with brand new tv). That’s a frivolous feature though, the thermal hot springs and the access the hotel provides is wonderful, constant short shuttle ride in a robe and in you are in the sultry spring water and awesome relaxing pools features. Concierge can get you booked in any activity or adventure you desire and there are many. Enjoyed a great 1/2 day boating and paddling onLake Arenal was a treat beautiful scenery and wildlife. Had a really nice stay look forward to returning someday."
