You are one block from High Street, a 6-min walk to the restaurants, bars and galleries of the Short North Arts District. The home sits in Italian Village, beside the highway; guests call the location perfect and easy to walk. Our fall picks: North Market (8-min walk), Budd Dairy Food Hall (12-min walk), the Greater Columbus Convention Center (11-min walk) and Nationwide Arena (15-min walk). One caveat: the highway next door means traffic noise in some bedrooms.

You have the whole home to yourselves, including the rooftop deck and the private hot tub, which sits at ground level, not on the roof. Self check-in by smart lock. Park in the attached one-car garage or the driveway; paid street parking is out front. Expect stairs on every floor. We offer a pack-n-play and high chair. The space is not baby-proofed, however. Bring your own streaming logins; there is no antenna. We do have a firm cancellation policy. We recommend that guests purchase travelers' insurance due to unforeseen circumstances. We do not give refunds due to weather.

Fall here looks like this: walk 6 min to dinner on High Street, catch a game at Nationwide Arena or a show downtown, then come home, light the fireplace and finish the night in the hot tub or up on the roof with the skyline glowing.

Bedrooms
The first floor has a queen bedroom with a closet holding the pack-n-play, stroller and travel crib. The second floor has another queen. The third floor holds the king primary and a queen, which share the third floor bath. That bath opens toward both bedrooms, so light and sound carry between them.

Kitchen and living
The living room flows into the kitchen, so whoever is cooking stays part of the night. Pull up a stool at the island, put the game on the 75-inch TV and keep the fireplace going. Streaming apps are ready for your own logins.

Bathrooms
Fresh towels (including makeup towels), hair dryers and Ginger Lily Farms shampoo, conditioner and body wash are in both full baths, so you can pack light.

• Temperature differs between floors: the first floor bedroom runs cool in cold months and the third floor bedrooms run warm. Fans are provided.

Most of this trip works on foot: High Street is a 6-min walk, the Convention Center 11 min and Nationwide Arena 15 min. For everything else, park in the attached one-car garage or the driveway, with paid street parking out front. By car without traffic: the Convention Center and Nationwide Arena 3 min, Downtown 6 min, the OSU campus 7 min, Ohio Stadium 9 min and CMH airport 12 min.
