"I couldn't fault this beautiful spacious home. It had everything we needed for the perfect family get away, and the playroom and trampoline in the garden got a big thumbs up from my grandchildren. The location was great for exploring everything that West Mersea has to offer, especially the seafood! Everyone went away feeling totally relaxed! One big thumbs up for me, was that John the owner greeted me at the property in person to show me how everything worked!"

"We booked a secret wedding in London and needed a place in the middle for our families to meet up. It catered for all of us! We had 2 children under 3, and 14 adults but it didn't seem cramped. Everybody was comfortable and content. Antoine was super responsive, and so was the young man who checked us in (I can't remember his name unfortunately!). Friendly, clean, and surrounded with the most well kept gardens. If you need total darkness to sleep, bring an eyemask! Thank you so much to all...

The estate agent who manages the house was very easy to deal with, eg when we wanted to stay an extra night. The area has tons to offer (albeit some places are a 40 minute drive). Sutton Hoo just down the road, then Framlingham Castle and Orford Castle, Aldeburgh and Southwold (for any George Orwell fans!). "Beautiful cosy cottage in a sweet little village. We had the most wonderful mid week family break. Very nicely decorated with everything you would need. Steep stairs and uneven floors but nothing we couldn't cope with-added to the fun! We took the new family puppy and it was in a perfect location for the county park and lovely walks. Would definitely recommend and hope to go back!!"

"It was just myself, my Husband and my 12 yesr old Grandson. The cottage was lovely. Very comfortable and homely. It had a warm and welcoming feel about it. Very close to shops and a short walk to the beach. Spotlessly clean and everything provided by the host for a perfect stay. We hope to go back again very soon."

"Lovely old cottage, furnished well with a nice kitchen having everything you need for eating in (except for a sieve or collander). Clay tiles on ground floor make the floor cold so bring slippers in low season. Some very low beams so tall people beware. Couldn't light the gas fire though. Surprised to find slow-moving bees on window sills or on floor each day when returning from day out."
