« Great that there was free parking, staff were probably the friendliest I’ve ever seen. Rooms over the bar a bit noisy with music, doors banging ect but it does close at 12 so had a good nights sleep.
Disappointed breakfast wasn’t provided but there was tea/coffee/ biscuits in the room. »

« The room itself was clean but noisy as it faced the main road. The worst was the bathroom. It was so disgusting that I couldn't bear to have a shower or even touch the bathtub! We paid £158 for 2 nights and were horrified. For the cost of one nights stay they could easily afford to regroup the tiles and clean whatever the indescribable muck everywhere! Inexcusable for what they charged. In my younger day, student hostels were cleaner than this. Shame shame shame! 2 stars were for the staff ,...

« 5 minutes walk from Manchester Picadilly station. Perfect location for the city centre. Very handsome hotel. Dark & moody. Staff were especially warm and welcoming. Shout out to the breakfast waitstaff who could not have been more pleasant.

Was surprised that the bar closed - even for guests - at 11pm for last orders.
Received several invitations prior to my arrival asking if I’d like to upgrade (at a cost ) which I thought was rather tacky. I’ve stayed in some of the finest...

« The Grains bar hotel was selected over others primarily for its location which had several teenage memories. We were visiting family in Smallbridge, Rochdale ... 4miles away, so very convenient. Excellent greeting and first impressions. Ample seating areas, small bar area next to reception, large brekki, dining room but lacked atmosphere. Other rooms (not viewed incl Wedding venue) available. Good meals and menu. Rag pudding...well!
