"A Best Western or a Hilton it ain't, but there was really nothing wrong with Dawson House Lodge. The air conditioning was ample and easy to operate. A notice posted in the room warned of draconian penalties for smoking in the room, but I checked out smoothly the next morning without any smoking inspection to verify compliance. The information notebook in the room had, among many materials, menus from the two cafes across the road, KJ's and the Ponderosa Lounge. Neither was open when I went out around 7 pm looking for dinner. Ended up at nearby Lupita's Tacqueria."

"We had a fantastic time on our mini-vacay, and this was such a peaceful place to relax after a busy day! I saw a wild bunny in the morning while enjoying the view just out the master bedroom patio door. I may have missed it in the description, but do be aware the step down into the master bedroom and the one up into the master bath are a little high, if you have mobility issues. Would definitely recommend this property to friends!"

"We stayed for 2 nights, 6 adults and 2 kids. There were plenty of comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen, and the location is close to several outdoor recreation options, including Crater Lake. Communication with the host and check in / out were all super easy. Highly recommend!"

"We had a wonderful and relaxing time at this lovely Chalet. The view was astonishing and the cabin well located for many nearby outdoor adventures. There were many sweet little extras, like peanuts for the chipmunks and jays, and an enclosed area for the dog that made the stay enjoyable. The cabin was clean and well appointed, especially the kitchen, which had a rice cooker and a slow cooker. The appliances all worked perfectly. You could tell a lot of love went into setting the place up for guests. We would definitely come back. Thank you, Diane, for being so easy to communicate with and for letting us enjoy your sweet chalet."
