Wasn’t super clear about the beach access and that would have been nice to have given the location. Plan your stay around staying in a fair bit since it’s totally worth it and it’s not super close to shops/restaurants - but I wouldn’t say that’s a bad thing. Check in process was a little confusing with several emails from the renting company asking to download an app and other stuff....

"The location map for the property was incredibly misleading. VRBO has the listing map in Nanaimo which was what was originally searched as we needed to be in town. However, when we arrived, the map on VRBO lead us to some reserve land (it was super sketchy). It wasn’t until I opened the email from the host that the address/location was provided. The property itself was in Ladysmith, 20kms away from the VRBO location point. We never would have booked it if we had known the actual location. Not at...

"The best thing about Dennis' place is the fabulous waterfront location. We enjoyed our coffee every morning watching the sea lions, gulls and even whales one day. The condo itself is very comfortable with great beds and a well stocked kitchen. We really enjoyed our month at Inn of the Sea."

"Ryan's home is very comfortable, nicely decorated and very clean. The kitchen is very well equipped, comfortable beds and lots of space for everyone. It is close to the main street in Ladysmith and a short walk to Transfer Beach. Ryan is always quick to respond to any messages."

"Though it was too early in the season for us to use the pool, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our kids explored the shore for shells and had a great time in the playground. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals. We loved waking up to the ocean view - seeing seals and other wildlife. Overall, it was a very pleasurable stay and we would definitely come again!"

"We've been to this property many times however there were a few snags with this trip. We asked if a playpen was available via email and phone call. We were told we would be called the day before to be informed if we could have one - they never communicated with us. Our cottage (43) also had terrible water pressure. There was zero water coming out of the top floor bathrooms sink, and the bath trickled water - so it took 45 minutes to fill it if you wanted to use it. I informed management via...
