This was my first time flying with air transat and it was a pretty great experience. I wasn’t able to use online check-in and I called the customer service line worried as I had this happen with a different airline before (and ended up missing the flight due to long lines at the airport even though I had gone in 3 hours early for a domestic flight to deal with my check-in issues.). The rep on the phone was very comforting and said that online check-in doesn’t work sometimes for people who purchase through Expedia, but that I would have zero issues checking in at the airport, I would definitely make my flight. I got there and there were ushers managing the people and asking what they needed which helped organize priority. I was able to check in without issue. When I got on the plane, the woman seated beside me was unpleasant and rude with me as I placed my bag on the floor of our shared foot space. I asked a flight attendant if there were any overhead bins available as this woman was being really rude to me and giving me a hard time. The head attendant saw that this woman was quite unpleasant and immediately walked me up to some empty seats so that I didn’t have to sit next to her anymore, even though I had only asked to have my bag stored elsewhere. I appreciated her conscientious actions which made my 8 hour flight significantly more pleasant!
