Barn Studio in country setting but close to town

  • This is our newest and second vrbo on our property. This barn studio, the Milton View, sits on a 5-acre parcel that once was included in the adjacent 64-acre farm. It is located about 100 yards from our main house and also houses our other vrbo, the Hidden Gem, which is located on the other side. It's a great place to enjoy a peaceful morning sunrise with a cup of coffee on your private covered porch or a glass of wine in the evenings watching the sun go down. Although you will feel like you are in the country, we are only a short 15 minute drive to city center. We are two minutes from the renowned Clifton Inn, a popular wedding destination and 5-star restaurant. Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello is a 7 minute drive and wineries are all around the area. The Milton View boasts a custom tiled walk in shower, king size bed and polished concrete floors. I pride myself on providing a clean, comfy space. I grind my own favorite local coffee been from Greenberry’s prior to each arrival for my guests to enjoy. In season, enjoy our own private swimming pool while taking in the mountainous view. All guests have access to use the pool. Please let us know if you will be using the pool past 6:30 pm as we like to swim laps then and can adjust. Pool is seasonal usually opens late April and closes end of September. Inquire for exact dates as weather can change these schedule.

    You understand that swimming in the pool is at your own risk and that special risks may be involved with swimming. You accept full responsibility for any bodily harm arising from swimming and hold the owner harmless. You agree to use only plastic cups (provided) when drinking liquid in the pool area.
    You agree to be fully and solely responsible for any accidents you may incur. You understand the risk put forth above and agree that you will assume all responsibility. You agree to waive any claim whatsoever against the owner for accidents or claims arising from swimming. In booking this all guests agree to this Liability Waiver.

Beautiful, quaint little place with a wonderful view. Close to everything. Hosts were great with great communication. We came for our anniversary. Would definitely recommend for couples.

Everything exceeded our expectations. Trisha is an amazing host, and quickly responded to any questions we had. Their entire property is immaculate! The pool was clean and very refreshing. The firewood was replenished every day. The rooms are perfect and kept very clean. It’s in a perfect place to visit the local wineries, shops, and restaurants.

A Perfect Long Weekend Away

From start to finish, everything was wonderful! Trish’s attention to detail shines throughout the cottage. We felt very much at home, enjoyed the pool, and were close to wineries and great restaurants too. We hope to return another time when some r and r is called for. This was truly the perfect getaway for my husband and me. Thank you, Trish!

Incredible Hidden Gem

This is our second time staying at this property and it never disappoints. The property itself is absolutely gorgeous and very well-maintained. The pictures and descriptions are 100% accurate. Trish and her husband are wonderful hosts! They really make it feel like you’re at home. For a guy like the process to book was easy. Communication was easy. Check and check out processes for simple. Just an overall wonderful stay!

The owners have thoughtfully set up this beautiful barn studio. We were busy with my grandson at UVA, but the fire pit was ready to use and the wood and fire starters were all provided. They had extra blankets, and the layout of the studio was perfect. The colors were bright and welcoming. While we never met the owners, as they like to give privacy, they responded quickly to any questions we had. The bed was so comfortable that we slept better than we do in our own bed. We will definitely be coming back. It is a quick trip from Charlottesville, and close to Monticello. Thanks for providing us with a perfect place to rest while visiting our grandson
