Super service and hospitality
When we arrived in the evening of Dec. 27th, my friend realized that she left her phone in the taxi. The staff at reception, the concierge and at the front door immediately asked for details and tried to find ways to recover the phone. Within 5 minutes, they identified the driver and called him to come back to the hotel to return the phone. We are very grateful to the friendly and very helpful staff, who saved our day.

I’ve stayed at the Sofitel a few times now. I love the rooms, the layout and amenities, and the restaurant -particularly for dinner -is first class. However, the hotel is older and each room I stayed in had some minor problems - broken wall panels, broken sinks, mysterious dripping- that just come from age. If this kind of thing bothers you, stay at a newer hotel.

One night at Casablanca waiting for my flight.
I requested a wake-up call, which never happened. This is unacceptable for a hotel that wants to be a 5 stars.

i did not like any thing about this property, breakfast was like a three star hotel . SPA was always closed and you had to call to have the facility to turn on , broken faucet and no drain in the shower was bad in SPA.. i would rate this hotel max 3.5 star not 5 star and do not recommend at all .

Good location at the edge of Medina. The staff is friendly. Breakfast is average for the cost. Dinner is of good quality. Somewhat expensive, the restaurant is basically an extension of the lobby. Great views from the high-up floors. Very easy to get a taxi cab. Security personnel totally irrational. A friend of mine with an extended stay due to a later flight needed help with luggage packing, but his other friend who checked out a couple of hours earlier was not allowed to come up inside for a few more moments to assist with the packing of the souvenirs. The whole thing left a sour taste.

Great location, wonderful staff.
Location was great for seeing the sites and finding places to eat. Staff was wonderful, true Moroccan hospitality. Room could use a renovation, particularly bathroom fixtures.

Hotel is under renovations and I got an I renovated room. The decor wasn’t bad. The room smelled like humidity and towels were tired. The bed felt like it was sinking. Restaurant food was excellent and public spaces were nice. Area is not very nice and would never stay there again

Sofitel brand is deteriorating so fast that staying there is like residing in the ghetto. Everything in the hotel is deteriorating and overused. From the mattress to sofa to the color on the wall, let alone the air condition. Very an unhealthy environment to live in. It’s not worth it. I strongly recommend staying in a three stars hotels rather than staying here or in any other Sofitel in Morocco.

A great location with beautiful view of the Mosque. Our room was not great. Only cold water for showers and the bathroom door handle was broken that lent to being locked in the bathroom. We had a short stay and no time in the morning to ask for the water to be fixed. They were kind enough to give a partial refund.

Casablanca/Sofitel Hotel
So we arrived at 5pm and the room was still not ready, it seem like a big mystery. Finally, we got a room with no working air conditioning, bed most uneven, uncomfortable the cleaning in this property is very poor definitely nothing compared to any other hotels i’ve been. We would like our money refunded and we were not able to sleep for the one night we were here, hot, muggy and dirty. The people are nice and they try so it is obviously a management problem.

The shower was leaking. There was a loud noice coming from the bathroom. I called the front desk and they did not do anything to fix it. The repair man who came said the noice is coming from the shower above my room. :). The room was not clean and very old. The towels are quite old and yellowish.
