« This is the second time I have stayed at the Oaklander. The first time there were stains all over my sheets. They were changed. This time the pillows were wrinkled and did not smell fresh. I had to request new pillow cases. It’s a beautiful hotel but when they tell you they are inspecting your room before you go in beware, you better inspect it yourself. Housekeeping was very courteous when they changed the pillow cases. One bright point. Very disappointing for such a beautiful hotel. »

« I have stayed many times to visit my son who attends CMU. This hotel is closest one to the campus that surrounded with good restaurant options. It is about 5 to 10 mins walk to both CMU and Pitts. »

« Apt was great and spacious, its very convenient to Pitt and CMU but entrance is in a side street that feels like an alley and the immediate area doesn’t feel like a neighborhood so that was only downside. Literally 2 min drive to anywhere but prefer to stay where immediate area is more walkable lively community. For the price and space it was great though. »

« The train is way too close to the hotel. We felt it was in our room. Our room was next to the elevator on the 3rd floor, so it was very noisy. With a six nights stay a view on the river and further from elevators and train would have been appreciated. Good breakfast every morning with many options. Thanks »

« We loved this place! There were a few small physical issues: towel bars not secured (fell off when reaching for the towel); loud squeak in the shower door. No decaf coffee offered (but the Yemeni coffee shop 2 blocks away was AWESOME). Communication did not work well: the WiFi info was buried in one message before we arrived and was nowhere to be found in the room/building, so we worked from our phone hotspots (which didn't work well at all in this space).
