« It was a little loud in the early morning. It sounded like a workout class was going in downstairs with booming bass. Other than that the place was wonderful. »

« This is the second time I have stayed at the Oaklander. The first time there were stains all over my sheets. They were changed. This time the pillows were wrinkled and did not smell fresh. I had to request new pillow cases. It’s a beautiful hotel but when they tell you they are inspecting your room before you go in beware, you better inspect it yourself. Housekeeping was very courteous when they changed the pillow cases. One bright point. Very disappointing for such a beautiful hotel. »

« Great breakfast and great location »

« I have stayed many times to visit my son who attends CMU. This hotel is closest one to the campus that surrounded with good restaurant options. It is about 5 to 10 mins walk to both CMU and Pitts. »

« Apt was great and spacious, its very convenient to Pitt and CMU but entrance is in a side street that feels like an alley and the immediate area doesn’t feel like a neighborhood so that was only downside. Literally 2 min drive to anywhere but prefer to stay where immediate area is more walkable lively community. For the price and space it was great though. »

« Late arroval with 2 huge luggage's and the person at the desk give us a room at the 3rd level... without elevator !!! We reclam to use one who go only at the second floor! Then the A/C in the room 1304 make a noise! It looks like sleeping near a plane! horrible! And the windows are not double glazing so with the road in front it was a disaster! We were so enthousiastic by seeing the pictures and at the end so deeply disappointed. »

« Dirty Hotel »

« The train is way too close to the hotel. We felt it was in our room. Our room was next to the elevator on the 3rd floor, so it was very noisy. With a six nights stay a view on the river and further from elevators and train would have been appreciated. Good breakfast every morning with many options. Thanks »

« I actually got the "suite" for a family member and his sons. Unfortunately, the pre-teens became mischievous after my family member fell asleep (after a long funeral service). Security called and texted me several times to let me know about their misbehavior. I understood. What I did not appreciate was the tenor of the persons tone as he threatened a few times to "call the cops," even after I assured him that I had reached my family member. His manner was mean-spirited and ominous. Then again,...
