"Great location and generally nice hotel, Not sure if we just got a bad room but I was certainly expecting more for the price. Our room definitely needed renovation or at least some serious tlc. During the night we could hear the plumbing when another room flushed the loo, this woke us up. "

"The Hotel Monegal is in a great location for seeing the sites of Barcelona. There is a Metro station (Catalunya) right by the hotel, making it easy to get to other areas of the city. It is located on La Rambla within walking distance of the Cathedral and old town. The staff were so friendly and very helpful, they had good knowledge of the area and good recommendations for where to eat. The room was basic but comfortable, there were a few loose and cracked floor tiles in the bathroom but other than that it was fine. The beds were comfortable. The room was very clean and they replaced the towels everyday. The price was affordable and I would highly recommend staying here. We would definitely stay at the Hotel Monegal again."
