"La Quinta Bakersfield South was better than I expected. The room was quite adaquate, beds comfortable, good ac. The breakfast was nice, especially the waffles. It is a little run down especially the pool area where the lounges were in awful condition, but I would consider staying there again. One thing I did not like was when I made the reservation I saw it was pet friendly and it was, but nowhere did it say anywhere in the listings that there was a $50 charge for the pet. I felt that should...

"The hotel is okay. Our room was very clean and we were surprised to find it had a fridge and microwave (it didn't appear in the room description when booked). The TV is tiny for the room size a couple of additional chars would be nice. The hotel is old and needs some updating. All the chairs in the dining area are torn. It is not that pricey to replace them and it would have lifted the stay experience. Our room faced the highway and it was noisy. The staff was very helpful and efficient."
