There was an abundance of local animals to enjoy watching: horses, cows, sheep and housemartins. The pool table in the sun room was a welcome addition. All the bedrooms were spacious with excellent quality bedding. The downstairs master suite was particularly attractive. We would love to return! For the price of the room on our budget was absolutely spot on. TV, small ensuite and very warm and cosy. The bed was very comfy. Room was very clean with toiletries provided and everything we needed for our overnight stay on the way to ferry at Cairnryan. In fact we highly recommend this hotel for its convenience to the ferry port and value for money, you won't beat it on price. The food was lovely, extremely generous portions for our evening meal. My husband had steak, very thick and perfectly cooked and I had small fish, which was quite big so I recommend. Breakfast in the morning, was everything we needed, cereal, toast, tea, coffee, juice, full english or create your own and many other choices - all included in the price of your stay. This was our first time in Portpatrick (which is a lovely harbour town) and we will definitely be returning to stay at The Waterfront Hotel & Bistro. Definitely highly recommend for good value, great service and lovely food in a delightful place."
