Nestled on a ridge in the forest, with a unique walk up front porch. We named it after the many beautiful Luna moths that visit the cabin. Living Spaces Lots of windows fill the space with light. White shiplap walls, warm, rustic floors and ceilings, and furnishings that make you want to stay and relax. There’s a queen size pullout couch for the kids, with crisp percale cotton sheets to keep them comfy. The kitchen is gorgeous – custom painted green cabinets, quartz countertops, black stainless appliances and matte black sink and faucet all exude quality. Coffee is a priority for us, so there is a Keurig, a drip maker, a french press, and a cold brew maker. The rest of the kitchen is thoroughly stocked. The dining room table is a perfect gathering spot for playing the great selection of board games. Bedroom The Serta Hybrid king mattress and crisp percale cotton bedding will lure you in. Little touches like reading lamps, built-in USB chargers, and super cozy blankets just add to the experience. There’s a tv with cable mounted above the dresser. Bathroom The bathroom is awesome. Soaking tub, huge shower with two heads, and a beautiful custom vanity will make you want to remodel. The tile floor is stunning. The fullsize washer/dryer, iron, and handheld steamer will let you pack light. Outside Amenities We situated Luna Ridge on its wooded lot to allow us to have a level walk up front porch. With a big bench out there, it’s inviting. The back deck has everything we thought you’d want at a cabin: a cozy sitting area by the fireplace and TV, a dining table overlooking the woods, an awesome hot tub with privacy overlooking the lush forest, and a Weber grill tied into our underground propane tank so you never run out of gas. Steps off the deck is a cool fire pit made of stones from the lot, surrounded with wood Adirondack chairs. Firewood is always free and plentiful. Location Luna Ridge is in Hochatown – about 20 minutes north of Broken Bow – and is the area that most people are referring to when they say “Broken Bow”. The Mountain Fork Brewery, Grateful Head Pizza, and lots of our other favorite restaurants are right down the road. The cabin is about a half mile west of the main road 259, just past the Carson Creek entrance to the State Park – a perfect place for accessing Broken Bow Lake. It’s also the perfect gateway to all that hiking, biking and exploring that awaits in the Ouachita National Forest. Pets Well mannered dogs are allowed, with a $50 pet fee. We invite you to come see what is so special about the area that has become a happy place for us. Our cabins are all designed with our guests in mind, and we strived to think of every detail. It’s nestled away in a thicket of pines and has everything we want to melt away the tensions of the city. We’re both Northwesterners, but the forest and surrounding hills in Hochatown, just a few hours drive, still amaze us. The deck is apportioned with every amenity including fireplace, hot tub, tv, grill and relaxing furniture. Sort of like a luxury tree house. The kitchen has everything you need to dine in which some meals we did. Perhaps my favorite feature is the living space which has wonderful open cathedral ceilings and large surround windows (with easy privacy blinds by night) that give you an indoor perch to take in the relaxing beauty and natural light of day. I probably spent a day on the sofa reading a book and looking out the windows. The bed is super comfortable and is situated right off the deck. The bathroom has the largest double showers we’ve we seen in all our travels. We delighted in the excellent water pressure for long, relaxing morning drenches. The fire pit below has easy access to wood supply with a set of Adirondack chairs around it. The tvs are set up with Roku and gave us easy access to all our apps. We did quite a bit of walking around the neighborhood. Seemed to us that Luna had the finer detail grounds development other locations didn’t. May 16, 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Perfect Getaway Luna Ridge is a charming cabin with everything you need for weekend or week long retreat. The decor is lovely without feeling too cabin-like.The bedroom is a comfortable size, and the bed is oh-so cozy. The shower is delightful, with plenty of room for two! The kitchen is well-equipped to prepare meals if you wish, but we couldn't resist the excellent local eateries, most just a mile or so from the cabin. We especially enjoyed spending time on the expansive deck/balcony with our minature schnauzer. Dave is a perfect host-great communication in a timely manner. We especially appreciate a dog-friendly retreat that is so beautiful and well maintained. We plan to return in the fall to Luna Ridge. ##### Stephen W. It was also super clean! Honestly, I felt like I had found my new home! :) Between the back porch and the bathroom, I just loved it. I didn't utilize it, but I thought it was pretty neat how they have USB ports on the bed and a few outlets in the house. It was super helpful. The hot tub didn't feel oily when you got out of it and smelled clean. The bed was comfortable. No complaints. I would definitely recommend staying here.
