We were tucked at the back end of the building and no access to the Chateau that we knew of. Also had to access the courtyard/garden via the back street and stairs into the garden and out above the garden. Because this was an apartment with kitchen we were not able to take part in the Chateau breakfast which was a surprise to us upon check in. However, we had plenty of room for 3 older ladies and the patio/deck overlooking the garden area was very nice. It's in a lovely area with many shops and restaurants or cafes around, and is very walkable to Old Quebec. The building is ornate and impressive, and the rooms are very comfortable and charming. Our stay was made even better with our most gracious host Phillip, who made a delicious breakfast every morning and was accommodating to special requests. It was very quiet and peaceful and beautifully decorated. The off-street parking was in a pretty tight garage - best for a small car. Unfortunately there was never enough hot water to use the large bath in the royal suite but we were able to shower fine.
