GREAT PEEPS Mius the Allergens

It was lovely and Chris and Her brother seemed responsive. Appreciate the emails and texts. I just have allergies and the place has been nicely remodeled for sure and has TONS of space for upstairs and downstairs and private sitting patio enclosures are divine. The smell of mold/Mildew was rampant in the past I assume, so lots of "paint over band-aid" effects- which is a sign of Florida humidity and I have lived here my whole life and know the mold remediation stinks. We just think it was not down in the ductwork thus the residual build up around air vents and the air dehumidifers may help somewhat and are useful measures. Upstairs step in tub was full of jacuzzi jet gunk and mold. Older places always have this anyway. Lots of dust and spores on the walls above toilet. Love the area and the party animals across the street were not so horrible. Did not give us our money back for the water issues we had for the one night we needed to shower- so that was not fun!

Loved our stay at Island Getaway! Stayed during 4th of July weekend so the island was hopping, but Island Getaway was a quiet, relaxing retreat in the middle of all the action. Quick walk to the Gulf or intercoastal for lovely sunsets and sunrises. We spotted manatees at the dock one morning! Easy walk to Bridge Street too. Had a great vacation!

Great location walkable to beach and town

This place was great for 3 adults and 3 teens. Bridge St quickly became our daily destination. The place is well appointed with really nice appliances. The only critique I have are that the lanai is not private.

Great location; comfortable spot

This unit is well located on a short side street near to the bay and the beach, and just close enough to walk everywhere, but far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet. The unit includes a plentiful and pleasant outside common space which is a huge plus. This unit was very good for our family with kids and plenty of space for all of us because the lanai and common areas offered lots to do. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend to others as well.

Exceptional experience - A+/110%

Hello all! What a treat to be part of and stay at Island Getaway. From the host's responsiveness throughout the booking process, to a wonderfully gracious arrival and attentiveness throughout our stay - we cannot say enough about Mark A and the Island Getaway. The location is terrific with access to a pier/dock at the end of the street and steps away from the beach. You are also only a few blocks to the dntn Bradenton Beach area with fun shops, bars and good restaurants. Our accommodations at Unit#8 were wonderful - from well appointed decorating (love the flamingoes!), great bathrooms, super comfortable beds, to the well-supplied kitchen and beach gear (chairs, umbrellas, cooler, beach towels, etc etc) and great outdoor seating areas -- all terrific. The property is on a short dead end street so no traffic. There are no gulf or sound views but with the property landscaping and lush gardens you have a superb getaway after a day in the sun. We will be back. Enjoy!

Girls long weekend

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was 3 of us celebrating a belated 60th birthday celebration. The place was beautifully decorated which many special homey touches like blankets on the sofas to snuggle with for example. The kitchen had many extras that you don’t normally see. We enjoyed the linai one evening and the privacy they it offered. The courtyard was so cute but we didn’t get time to spend there. We were 5 minutes from the beach which was perfect. Check out the quick walk to the bay to the right while you’re there too. Bridge Street was full of shops and restaurants which was within walking distance as nice too. We had one small issue too initially too which the Host rectified quickly. I highly recommend this house!

1st Time Visitor

Absolutely perfect! Cottage was super cute and extremely clean. Location was great with just steps from a beautiful beach and only a few blocks from Bridge Street where there are a number of great restaurants and cute shops. Property owners were very responsive and very welcoming. 1st time visitor to AMI and will definitely be back!

Fall Break at Bradenton Beach

This property is truly special. If you want to be a minuet from sunrise and a minuet from sunset this is the place for you. This property has clearly undergone a recent total renovation as the bathrooms and kitchen appear brand new. There was more than enough space for a family of five. The owner here clearly takes pride in this rental as the kitchen was very well appointed and there was all the beach gear you could possibly need. Easy walking distance to the beach, the bay and to the really fun Historic Bridge Street. Highly recommend staying here.

Beach Escape

The house was super clean and had most things we needed. It’s walking distance to the beach and to bars and restaurants. With six adults, the two floors gave us plenty of space and comfort. I would definitely recommend if you’re fortunate enough to visit the beautiful AMI.

Quiet beach property

We had an amazing time at this Bradenton beach condo! We stayed here with our 4 kids and were very comfortable and loved being so close to the beach. The condo was very clean, well stocked with towels and the beach chairs and toys were a bonus! It is a short walk to Bridge street, for dining and shopping, which was very convenient. We ventured up to the other end of the island a few times, but enjoyed the Bradenton beach area best. It is quieter, not as much traffic and tourists. We enjoyed the nearby restaurants, an awesome fishing trip with Fish AMI and loved the beach! Thank you for such a wonderful place to stay, we are already looking forward to our next trip!

Safe and perfect location!

This was the perfect get-a-way for two 'quananteam' families. Mark ensured 24 hours between guests was strictly maintained and signs throughout encouraged social distancing -- this is clearly a property that is taking COVID-19 seriously! Beyond that, with the beach across the street, plenty of beach and fishing supplies available, an over the top responsive host, and easy delivery from local restaurants, we could not have asked for a better four days! No doubt we will be back.
