![John Wayne had this built on Happy Shanahan's Ranch just north of Bracketville TX.  Replica of the Original Alamo.  Only this one is facing East.  So I was able to capture the early morning light.  I spent three days and two nights photographing the grounds, during a full moon.

« We loved everything. We played pickleball, kayaked on the river, enjoyed all of our meals outside under the big oak trees and marveled at the stars by the firepit at night. I only have a few suggestions: the outside table and bar were dirty. The bar table had a huge pile of rocks on it and was covered in leaves and dust and there were no fire pit tools. But these were just minor things and did not cause us to lose any relaxing time. I think a small table top jenga game would be a nice touch...

« This place is awesome. We spent a ton of time at the river kayaking and fishing/floating and saw very few people. The seclusion is great, the river access is super nice, and the house is very functional. A couple minor items worth mentioning for certain prospective guests: 1) river access is not walking distance, requires the side-by-side or a truck but is very close by; 2) the house is on the main highway and there is some minor road noise occassionally...did not impact our enjoyment. The...
