"Hostess Elisa was very responsive , helpful and gave clear and easy to follow instructions on self check in process . Apartment ( arleccino ) was spacious , well ventilated , clean , bright and very thoughtfully & well fitted out with everything for a comfortable stay . Beds were comfortable and the air-conditioning worked very well in the hot summer days . Location was steps away from the plaza vecchia , yet quiet and had a little terrace overlooking some rooftops and the mountains behind ....

"This place looks way better live than on the photos, it definitely exceeded my expectations. It is handy as it is located only 10min walk from the airport. However, keep in mind that the entrance is right on the busy road so if there was no airport nearby, the location itself wouldn't be the best. Rooms are lovely and spacious. Everything is very clean and practical and you get some snacks and tea. There is a kitchen that can be used and each room has its own external bathroom. Self check-in....

"We had a wonderful stay at Bergamo8. We were scheduled to arrive late and I was concerned about checking in. I called Bergamo8 on one of our layovers. The lady who answered was very helpful and provided a code for access to the property and our room. The rooms were very clean and comfortable for our family of 4. The kids slept on the pullout couch. "We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel has a kind atmosphere and the service was all great. Only problems were with some of the other guests who didn't seem to appreciate the hospitality enough to be considerate of their surroundings."

"My stay here was a layover. I really appreciated the dark room when you close the blind (pitch black in middle of day). Even though the place has pallet furniture they did not buy cheap mattresses. This was a top quality mattress! The check in is strictly at 2pm from near the train station then once you have the key you travel out to the hotel (1.5km or 6 stops on a bus). The same company who does the check in also supply luggage storage at the train station so you can leave your bags and visit...

"This is a lovely place to stay. Its very close to Carrara Academy and within walking distance of Citta Alta. There are several bars round the back of the hotel. Citta bassa is also close enough to walk to although the bus to airport and main train station stops across the road. The hotel is small and very clean. Room was beautiful. "Check-in experience was terrible because I had to wait outside with my bags for half an hour even though I kept the manager of the place updated about my changing ETA. And by the way he assumes that you can make a local call so he knows what time to arrive to his part-time job of managing the place and checking guests in. He is a decent guy otherwise, but the place also has a bit dirty floors and could use more punctual management. Also the beds are really squeaky so good sleep not guaranteed....
