Two gites located side by side in a medieval village with heated pool sleeps 7/8

Accommodation for up to 7 or 8 people in two charming gites situated side by side in a medieval village courtyard with secure parking for multiple cars opening on to a sunny garden with heated private pool and a covered dining and BBQ area. Our gites are ideal for family groups or groups of friends who may want some privacy and separate facilities and still be able to enjoy large communal socialising.

The courtyard is fully enclosed for privacy and safety of children and dogs. There is a small patio area directly outside each gîte, perfect for morning coffees and afternoon drinks. For lunches and evening meals take advantage of the covered BBQ and dining area with seating for up to 8 people.

The larger of the two gites is very spacious. The open planned ground floor consists of a large lounge area, a dining area and a well equipped gallery style kitchen. There are two ensuite bedrooms, the master has a double bed and the other has a single bed and bunk beds. A travel cot and highchair can be provided if required.

The smaller gite offers an upstairs double ensuite bedroom and the ground floor has it's own kitchen and lounge area, ideal for providing independence from the main gite. There is also a sofa bed on the ground floor.

The village offers good facilities within walking distance with a well stocked small supermarket providing freshly baked baguettes. There is a small bar, a pizza restaurant / takeaway, a highly regarded traditional French restaurant, a pharmacy, a hairdressers, an opticians and English speaking doctors. In the immediate area there are numerous activities for all ages including Pony trekking, bike hire, high wire forest, go-karting, boating, kayaking, paddle boarding and a classic French family theme park with hours of fun for all the family (https://www.pierre-brune.com/en/)

Within a 30 minute drive is the popular World Famous Puy du Fou theme park which receives more than 2.3 million visitors every year and is an absolute must for all the family (https://www.puydufou.com/france/en/must-see-france)

The stunning Atlantic sandy beaches of the Vendee coast are within an hour’s drive. Enjoy exploring the picturesque coastal villages with their myriad of tourist facilities but without the frantic traffic jams as you retire to the rolling hills of the Vendee countryside.

Just over an hour away lies the stunning harbour town of La Rochelle with it's historic buzzing cosmopolitan centre. Browse in the chic boutiques, have lunch in the bars overlooking the harbour or spend some time on a terrace people watching. There’s also a sandy beach just a pleasant 20 minute walk from the town centre.
