We had a wonderful stay here for our fall family vacation. The home has plenty of space for families and little ones, comfy beds, and a well equipped kitchen. Lots of useful maps/brochures of town, a cute little “library” reading area (with even a thoughtful kids library). The location is perfect for walking into downtown restaurants and shops. All very walkable. Julie was a friendly, helpful and responsive host. We highly recommend booking!

Great location in town and very well equipped and stocked house. Can't imagine a better location for access to town as well as Acadia National Park. Owner is very responsive and the house has everything one would want for a vacation rental.

We took a girls trip to Bar Harbor to celebrate our 60th birthdays. The location of this home was perfect. Quick walk to restaurants and harbor. The host is very responsive and provides a charming home with lots of character. We enjoyed our stay. Be sure to read the guest book as there are great recommendations for restaurants. 15 minute drive to Acadia National Park.

The house was a true old beautiful home. It made me feel like I went back in time to historical days with a modern twist. I can't wait to book it again next year.

We had a wonderful time at our Vrbo. The house is within walking distance to town. We walked in every morning for coffee. The yard is spacious and plenty of rooms for sleeping. There were adequate accommodations for children, including a high chair and toddler, which we greatly appreciated. Our host was responsive and gracious when we had any concerns.

The house was absolutely fantastic and has everything you could possibly need for a stay with family or friends! Its proximity to downtown Bar Harbor is great - easily walkable for late nights or shopping trips. Plenty of parking on the street. And Julie was fantastic! She even helped with suggestions for our rehearsal dinner party and responded to emails/texts immediately. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

We loved our two-week stay in Bar Harbor. This home was extremely clean and fit all of us very well. The kitchen was stocked with all we needed, and the two porches were wonderful. Our boys enjoyed the backyard so much, and we made use of the grill several times. Walkability was absolutely perfect for not only going into town for restaurants, but also access to the shore path, farmer's market, and playground.

This is an old, classic home that has been tastefully and thoughtfully decorated and furnished. Our middle son had his wedding ceremony in Acadia and reception in Bar Harbor. As such we had two couples (family) and three adult sons stay at the house. Plenty of spacious rooms for gathering, eating, or 'separating' for a quiet reads. The weather was 'sketchy' so we could not use the beautiful patio or back yard, but also cute and comfortable. Kudos to the owners on a lovingly tended home.

5/5. This property is in a wonderful location - walking distance from shops, restaurants & bars. Very close to Acadia also!! How cool is that? It’s a safe little area as well. The house matched the listing with plenty of space. There is no A/C; however, that is common in the area for many of the homes given the climate. There are lots of fans provided and keeping windows open cools the place down a decent amount. The host is so kind and accommodating - I can’t say enough wonderful things about her. She will make your stay comfortable and stress free. We loved our stay!

A charming clean Victorian "cottage" located in Bar Harbor a short distance from restaurants & shops, and a very short drive to Acadia NP Loop road. Kitchen is well equipped. Four separate bedrooms as listed. Bath in upstairs main washroom. Shower adjacent to laundry room on main floor, and a separate 2 piece washroom on main floor as well- all in all charming and functions well.

This house was extremely clean and centrally located. It had plenty of space for our two families of four. It’s also very close to the town park which our group went to many times to play tennis and pickleball. The one quirky thing to know is that the downstairs bathroom is split into two rooms - one with a toilet and sink, and one with a shower and sink. There is a full bathroom upstairs. All in all, it was a fantastic property which suited our needs very well.

The location worked so well for us - quiet and off the main road but close enough to walk anywhere in town for shopping or walking across the bar. Groceries and many dining options were close as well. There was plenty of room for the six of us - more than we had a chance to use! Great enclosed porch off the front and another in back with a sizable yard. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms were fine with enough hot water for all. All necessary items were provided including bar soap and laundry detergent. Thanks for sharing your home and the great ideas for things to do and places to eat!

We enjoyed staying at Ledgelawn Cottage for a sibling family reunion. We had plenty of spaces for gatherings as well as comfortable rooms for sleeping. It was a warm week in Maine, but the Victorian house had great ventilation with ample big windows and fans, and every evening got cool. We even ate outside one evening at the picnic tables and bugs were not an issue. Julie was very communicative and the house has so many generous extras. The kitchen had excellent appliances, more than enough dishes, and great pots and pans. And being able to walk into town during peak season was stress-free and festive!

Our stay would have been more comfortable if the heat worked. Something was wrong with the thermostat and it was quite cold in the house.

Ledgelawn Cottage is a lovely and spacious home. It was perfect for our group of 6 (including a toddler and a teen). The home had all the supplies we needed to cook at home and was within walking distance of a grocery. It is also an easy walk to downtown, to the buses to Acadia and the rest of the island, and to the harbor. Julie provided great instructions for house use, menus for local restaurants, and guidebooks and brochures for the area. It was nice to have a dedicated space to park as the street parking did fill up with visitors to downtown. The home is furnished with antiques and enough accessories to give it warmth and make it comfortable. We enjoyed our time at the home and in Bar Harbor.

We enjoyed our stay here. The location is excellent, on a more residential street, but a very easy walk to "downtown" Bar Harbor and as a starting point to drive into Acadia NP. Feels like you're visiting a relative's house. Was upset/angry/disappointed after the stay when the owner charged us for damages that we did not do without any contact or conversation prior to simply charging us. [Side note, the process to dispute a damages charge is not particularly easy either via VRBO.] Really left a sour taste in our mouths after what was previously a nice stay.
