"The room is new and clean. Breakfast can be improved. Scramble eggs are too dry. Tater tots were hard to eat."

"We stayed here to attend the tulip festival in Holland, which was an easy 30 minute drive. While Holland was crazy, South Haven was just starting to open for the summer, it was quite and friendly. We found easy free parking across the street. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They informed us about the sunset which we hadn't thought about, and it was an amazing end to a long day of driving. The rooms are very clean and charming. We had thought this would be a one time trip, but we are already thinking about coming back just to explore South Haven. And when we do we'll stay at the Old Harbor Inn."

"This is a great hotel if you are just interested in the room. Clean and comfy room. Quiet stay. Pet friendly. The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is the breakfast. I’ve stayed twice at this hotel and both times the oatmeal was dry and lumpy and the oranges old. I will probably stay here again but I will bring my own breakfast."

"Overall this was a great stay! The room was clean and the location was perfect! We stayed from a Friday to Monday during the Tulip Festival that was in Holland! The location was perfect to Downtown South Haven! Everything that we needed was close by making the trip smooth! The breakfast was good but small (eggs, waffles, cereal, muffins & bagels) was perfect for us though! Would definitely stay again"

"The location was excellent and I think that is what you pay a lot for. The Hotel itself is tired and in need of renovations. The first room we were in, the toilet was not working and the staff did respond quickly and put us in another room with a working toilet. The continental breakfast was very scant and although breakfast sandwiches were mentioned by staff on checking in, other than toast, bagels and peanut butter and jam, nothing else. No hot portion like eggs or bacon or sausage. The bed was extremely comfortable though and had a good night sleep. And as I said, the location right downtown and walking distance to all downtown activities, amenities and restaurants and pubs. Plenty of parking at the hotel. If not for the location though, I wouldn’t pay more than half the price of what I actually paid for this hotel. "
