Salt Block French Serenity · Downtown Bandera

French Serenity is one of four suites in the Salt Block building in downtown Bandera. The 11th Street Cowboy Bar is across the street, shops and restaurants are within walking distance, and the Medina River is less than a mile away. Salt Block guests get a discount at Salty's Texas Provisions in town, a shop for gifts and things made in Texas.



The suite is on the ground floor with its own entrance. Everything inside is new, with a mix of modern and rustic touches. There is a roomy living area with a smart TV, a full kitchen with new stainless appliances and a dishwasher, a coffee station, central air and heat, and Wi-Fi. Two bedrooms each have a queen bed, and the bath has a walk-in shower. A starter pack of supplies is provided.



Every Salt Block kitchen comes with smoked salts, sea salt and black pepper from a local salt maker to sample. The suite has its own parking spot on the property, with street parking nearby, and motorcycles are welcome. One pet is welcome here.



Larger groups can take more than one suite. There are three others in the building.



Early check-in may be available on request. Every stay includes the Texas Hill Country Travel App, a local guide for exploring the area.



WHY WE LIKE IT

We usually suggest French Serenity for two couples, or a couple with a dog, who want to leave the car parked all weekend. It is one of the two ground-floor suites at the Salt Block, so there are no stairs to carry bags up. The bedrooms are evenly matched, each with a queen, so nobody draws the short straw. And the kitchen comes stocked with smoked salts and spices from a Bandera salt maker to cook with.

GOOD TO KNOW

The Salt Block is downtown in a busy neighborhood across from the 11th Street Cowboy Bar, so expect some noise at night even though the suites are well insulated.

One pet is welcome; any pet fee is shown when you book.

Check-in is 3 PM and check-out is 11 AM.
