"Stunning views from the rooms and pool area, that was pretty much the highlights. Breakfast service is a disorganised shambles ! The pool area has the most uncomfortable sunbeds I’ve ever been on, that alone would stop me coming back"

The room was very clean and I absolutely loved the rooftop bar and swimming pool - the bar was serving outstanding food and cocktails , the sunbeds were super comfi, the swimming pool was delightful and the overall ambiance was stylish and sophisticated! "My family of five (all adults) stayed in two rooms at the Holiday Inn Express Malta by IHG for four nights. The hotel is at a perfect location, close to shops, the beach, restaurants, and plenty of night life. The rooms are clean, and the beds are comfortable. The rooms with a balcony have a beautiful view of the beach — though it does get loud at night because of the bars and clubs below. Quieter rooms are available on the other side of the building. We thoroughly enjoyed the perks of accessing some of the Intercontinental facilities, including the rooftop and indoor pools, gym, sauna, steam room, and cold plunge. Note that many locals have a membership to the gym and they have access to the same facilities so things do get busy in the evenings. What makes this hotel special are the people. Thank you to Gvantsa at the front desk for finding us two rooms on the same floor, and for moving us after multiple attempts to get the air conditioning to work. Also, thanks to Jenny from housekeeping for making our sofa bed extra comfortable by adding two duvet covers as a topper. Finally, thank you to Saviour from the breakfast team for going above and beyond to celebrate our parent’s anniversary with a glass of champagne. The staff truly made our stay in Malta special."

"Our room was classed as a Superior city view, but was dark with a small balcony overlooking a narrow side street. The room was clean and comfortable but nothing outstanding. The breakfast was mediocre, with no variety day on day. Usual lukewarm basic selection although you can request to have it in the Executive breakfast room on the top floor which has outside seating and wonderful views. Disappointed that there is no outdoor pool, but you do have free access to Aqualuna across the road. Also disappointing is that there are no outdoor areas to sit or any bar or restaurant facilities during the day. The staff are lovely and friendly and the location is great, but I think there are better options along the seafront in Sliema."
