"Hotels.com has the location marked wrong on the map. It is NOT anywhere close to the beach. Luckily I was able to hitch a ride into Tamarindo and get a rental car for the duration of my stay. I probably would not have considered this place if it was marked correctly on the map, but I'im glad I stayed here. That being said, everything else about this place is great! Nice modern kitchen and outdoor grill. Everything was newly renovated and very clean. AC was nice and cold. My only gripe was that...

"Lovely to stay with our family and friends in this great location. There were nine of us. Plenty of gathering area and plenty of separate space. Great to have the house moms they were very helpful. "We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Rio. We were a large multi-family group from ages 2 to 78 and It was perfect. The separate air conditioned sleeping areas were perfect, but we especially loved gathering by the pool or in th shared kitchen, living, dining space. The location was nice for us. Definitely more rustic, but fun!"

"The property is in an excellent location with easy access to the beach and local restaurants. The bungalow was spacious and comfortable for our family. We spent a lot of time on the patio and the pool was refreshing after a day on the beach. Dave was very helpful and made our stay easy and enjoyable. Highly recommend! "

"Doris was a wonderful host. The unit was perfect for family. The pool was very well kept. The kids loved playing in it for hours. It was very nice to be able to keep an eye on them from our patio. I loved listening to the animals living in the trees around the property. This was one of the best places we have ever stayed. Thank you for everything! Pura Vida"

"Very friendly staff. Front desk workers were always so accommodating and helpful. Everyone on the property spoke both English and Spanish, so it was very easy to communicate with staff. The restaurants were always well staffed and offered delicious options. The parking lot attendant was very friendly and they guard your car 24/7. Never once felt unsafe on this resort. The semi-private beach was also beautiful. Thank you for the hospitality! "
