With four sleeping spaces, three bathrooms, and plenty of room to unwind, it’s the kind of home where holidays feel effortless from the moment you arrive. The Space: Designed for easy coastal living, Wakainga opens to three generous decks, giving guests plenty of space to spread out, dine outdoors, or simply enjoy the sun and sea breeze. The main living level features a bright open-plan lounge, dining, and fully equipped kitchen. Full-width bi-fold doors open the entire space to the upper deck, creating a seamless indoor–outdoor living experience. Two bedrooms sit on this level, while downstairs offers a quiet second zone with its own bedroom, bunkroom, and full bathroom, ideal for families or friends travelling together. Getting Around: Wakainga is close to the main Oneroa bus routes, making it easy to explore without a car. Buses run from nearby stops through Oneroa village, onwards past Onetangi, and on to key wineries including Mudbrick, Cable Bay, The Heke Brewery & Distillery, and restaurants across the island. They continue to the Matiatia passenger ferry for smooth connections to Auckland. Taxis and shuttles are available but are expensive due to the high price of petrol on Waiheke. There is easy parking at the property if you’re bringing a vehicle. Location was perfect, 10 minute walk down to Oneroa. Plenty of space for all of us with everything we needed. Very clean and tidy.
