Fantastic stay! Everything you need is there, Probably one of the best stocked rentals I have ever rented. Highly recommend, Location great about 10 min walk to shops and restaurants. Communication was great and would stay there again!

This property was super clean and loved the modern decor! Very bright and cheerful! The mattresses were comfortable and kitchen well equipped. The host responded quickly and was willing to work with us when a family emergency arose. It’s a 10-15 minute walk to downtown area where we enjoyed shopping and restaurants. The LaZoom bus tour was super fun and hiking in Dupont Woods was beautiful…3 large waterfalls visited on the hike.

The apartment was clean, well organized, and convenient. Beds were comfy and the kitchen had plenty of cookware & dishes. The view was pretty much just city with a peek of mountains off the outdoor stairwell. It was great to be able to walk to downtown restaurants and shops very easily. The only problem was that large numbers of people gathered on the street and curb at 7 am, and several days were shouting and cursing loudly at each other. We never felt threatened personally, but it was uncomfortable to be woken early by this.

Great location

Great location for close access to walk downtown. Parking is tight but totally doable with a small vehicle. Comfy beds & all the amenities we needed. Would definitely stay again.

Plenty of space

We had a great time in Asheville. It was a great location for exploring in the mountains and walking around the city. The location is walkable to parts of the city but it’s on the outer edge so some walks were long. Everybody had plenty of room and everything we needed was provided.

Wonderful stay! Loved the sound machines and the setup of the property. Parking was tight but manageable. No issues with the homeless shelter across the street. They remained in their area, and they were not disruptive. Definitely will stay again!

Convenient spot

We had a nice time in Asheville & this was a good location for walking into downtown. While the homeless shelter across the street meant a lot of people on the sidewalk in the morning, no one hassled us or bothered us.

Very cool place!

We came to do college visits. Very cute modern place and close to downtown. It had everything we needed. FYI…There was a homeless shelter near by but no concerns. I think it just surprised us at first. Would stay again!

Asheville Pet Friendly Getaway

Great pet friendly property, close to downtown. Clean with all the home goods necessary for a “home away from home.” Our only complaint would be no area to let your pet run free, and situated next to what appeared to be the social services area of Asheville (i.e., appeared to be a methadone clinic / halfway house). That being said, no one bothered us.

Perfect Friends weekend in Asheville

The property was great! Quaint, cute and clean. Perfect short walk to downtown. Stocked with the perfect amenities and necessities. We'll definitely book Downton Annie again. One small note about the parking... Super tight parking, but not much room for expansion, so it's understandable. Just be aware if you drive a midsize or larger.

Great property. Modern, clean, good location to downtown Asheville. Center providing help to homeless near by, but nothing to be concerned about. No one bothered us or the property. Reminded us how blessed we are.

Impeccable Apartment

Overall, the owners were kind, generous and the apartment had clear instructions and was impeccably clean. The only downside is the location. We chose so that we could easily walk to great bars & restaurants, but the area had homeless people directly outside day & night. Unfortunately, they clearly and loudly displayed mental health issues, so even waiting for an Uber outside felt unsafe. Of course, this is not a reflection of the owners, but a huge factor when considering staying here.

The property was in a quiet area which was nice, clean, modern and sunny as listed and walkable to most of our favorite spots to visit (Breweries and the Rhu for breakfast). but also directly across the street from the homeless shelter. When we arrived early (around 11am) the whole block was lined with homeless people and a police car at the end of the block. I thought oh no what did I get myself into? When we returned to the property at check in time 3pm the street was for the most part empty and remained that way for the rest of the weekend from what I could tell (we leave the property early and come home late). We were not bothered by the few who remained but I did feel saddened and a little uneasy. I am unsure if I would book the property again but it did serve our purpose to visit and explore Asheville.

Great location and good for our family

Great location and space, and it was the perfect size for our family of 4 with two adults, two small kids, and a dog. The house is an old home that has been renovated, so of course the floors and walls are thin. The sound machines and ear plugs in the bedrooms were appreciated. I would suggest publishing "quiet hours" for each of the 4 units as well, as the unit under us woke us up at 5am with lots of loud talking and laughing. Problem was quickly solved by turning the sound machine up louder. Regarding prior reviews about the homeless service across the street, we saw a few folks outside of there but did not ever feel our safety was at risk or overwhelmed by it, and frankly would not have thought twice about it if we hadn't read prior reviews. Would definitely stay here again!

Well stocked and clean

The property was very well stocked including sugar and coffee and filters in the pantry and a brita water filter full in the fridge! Easy walking distance to Downtown Asheville and Harrah’s venue. Please read the property description and note the location of the homeless services building that is diagonal to the property. The owners are very upfront about this in their ad. It is a day shelter and I don’t think that it is even open every day. There are members of the unhoused community there some during the day. At no point did I feel unsafe. I know a few reviews mention this but I wonder if what they really mean is that they were uncomfortable in the way we can all be when we see homelessness, mental illness or poverty. They are people just like the rest of us, they have just been given a different set of circumstances. Downtown Asheville is a probably the most dog friendly town I have been to with so many shops and restaurants welcoming friendly dogs. I also highly recommended visiting the River Arts district and plan to support many local artists. This was a great stay and I will definitely plan a trip back to Asheville at some point and will plan to stay at this same location if possible.
