Loved our stay at Chalet Burlap! Hotel was not the newest but has a very traditional Japanese rustic charm - very very clean!! We had the traditional tatami rooms which were very nice and comfortable. Our room was very spacious with an ensuite, the onsite onsen is a massive bonus, and the breakfast is great! Short walk to the ski hill, and the service from everyone working there was excellent. My back went out on the plane. He saw my distress and kindly moved my heavy luggage up the stairs to my room. Onsen helped relieve my pain. Draft beer also helped as well as free whiskey. Our search turned up Chalet Burlap Furanui so we gave it a try. It's a cute boutique hotel just a short walk from the Furano Kitanomine ski area. Free parking across the street, onsen on site along with free happy hour drinks! However, the best feature of this property is the warm and friendly staff that make you feel welcomed! Rates are reasonable and include a hot breakfast.
