"This hotel was very convenient to the airport in the short drive to downtown Anchorage. The staff was very pleasant and the shuttle was waiting for me at the airport even though my arrival was at 3 AM. I had breakfast at the attached restaurant and it was very good."

"Visually appealing fresh renovation. Though some things done cheap - like shower doors were installed uneven and are sliding open. The sheets are too small for the bed and are constantly slipping in. Mattresses are too soft for our liking. The stuff was welcoming and friendly. A lady went up to our room to warn about headlights left on in the car which was nice. Note that no cleaning is done automatically, but they'll change towels and take out trash on request. Everything in the city is within 15 minutes commute."

"The lodge is huge but the rooms are small. The highlight of this place is the Nordic Spa. We were amazed at how cool that was. Hot tubs, pools, cold plunge pools, saunas and steam rooms all over the forest. We had a great time there. The grill/bar was good and we had a great stay there."

"Not as bad as people criticize, it’s clean, it’s comfortable bedding. NO AC, but they have ceiling fan and portable fan in room. It’s like Las Vegas, you’re not going to spend much time in your room. Flat screen TV is ok, but limited channels. Good shower, clean towels. Needs upgrading, but for the price, it meets the basic requirements."
