Top Amherst Hotel Reviews

South Shore Inn

8/10 Good

"We got the king suite with jet tub. Everything in the room was excellant. Breakfast was not great. Staff were super nice. The disconnecting hallways from the front desk was a little annoying."

The Orbit Hotel, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

10/10 Excellent

"I booked this purely for the cost and location last minute, paying no attention to the details and history of the property. When I arrived I was so blown away by the value: quiet, nice amenities, nice location, very spacious impeccably clean room, and nice staff who went out of their way to remind me to book airport hotel. Incredible."

Wyndham Avon

10/10 Excellent

"First had to change rooms due to the distance from the elevator. Ethan at the front desk was extremely helpful and made sure we were comfortable in a different room. The beds were comfortable, but the furniture needed updating and could use comfortable chairs. We went to breakfast (not free) and was surprised to note there was only one waitress doing everything. She was friendly, but frazzled as it was really busy. The food good. In general, it was a good place for an overnight stay."

Great Wolf Lodge Sandusky OH

8/10 Good

"Your room was clean and a neat condition. It was definitely family friendly. Staff was great having to pay $20 a day for parking when you are a guest at the hotel is a bit much. I feel like there should be a tag or some type of item hanging off of your mirror to show that you are a guest of the hotel so that you do not have to pay the inconvenience fee and there should be a parking lot designated for hotel, parking and other parking for day passes."

Motel 6 Huron, OH - Sandusky

8/10 Good

"The location was quiet and not busy. Our room had a fridge and microwave which was nice! It was spacious and clean. The bed was not the most comfortable, but after full days at Cedar Point I was exhausted and slept through the nights. Everything was a little outdated, but all in all we would definitely stay there again! I forgot there was a pool and did not pack swim suits so we did not check that out. I do wish they had some type of breakfast, but since I knew beforehand that they did not and we were going to have the fridge and microwave, I brought some breakfast items."

Sycamore Suites

10/10 Excellent

"The Sycamore Suites in Elyria, Ohio provided a clean, safe & comfortable stay for a mid range price. We didn't need a high end hotel with a bunch of "extras"; we needed exactly what we paid for - an adequately sized, quiet room with comfortable beds & a decent bathroom. The continental breakfast was a plus - a variety of simple, but good food & coffee that saved us from going outside on a few cold & rainy mornings before dawn. ALL of the "staff" were polite, friendly & very helpful, too. The hotel was clean & convenient to Lowe's, gas stations, Bob Evan's & Applebee's restaurants for lunch or dinner. The parking lot was well lit & had many spaces available each day & night. Why pay for "high end" when it isn't needed?"
