"Artificial fireplace was easy to use. Eventually warmed up the room. We turned it off at bedtime. Then back on in the morning. Don’t know if it had a fan function without the heat. "

"Room was booked on line through Expedia. I booked it for my cousin who has the same last name. She was coming to Orangeville because her Mother had died the day before. When booking, it auto filled my name so I called the hotel to specifically let them know my error. The hotel (I have the name of the staff remember) said I had to change the booking with Expedia. I contacted Expedia and was on the phone for 45 min and then they dropped the call! Disgusting service! If my credit card shows a charge for the room that night I will explode and fight it. "

"I called the night before to be assured that i could check in late as I would be traveling from out of the country and was told it would not be a problem. Upon arrival, there was a sign that said staff would not be there after 11pm with a number to call. I called the number about 10 times and no one picked up. I could see my room key sitting on the desk so i grabbed it at which point someone came out to greet me, the maintenance man. There was a slight language barrier which i don't fault him for it. He escorted us to the room and opened the door, a wave of heat exited which was unbearable. The room was 89°F/32°C (heated by a space heater). I advised the maintenance man that there was no way we could stay in that room. He called the manager, which was the same number that no one picked up for at the beginning and was told to switch our room. He then had to go back downstairs and get us a new room key which was a few doors down. Once in that room, the temperature was 66°F/18°C. I turned the thermostat to heat the room up and at no point did it ever let out any hot air but there was another space heater in this room. I'm assuming that the heat did not work at all on the hotel. There were also stains on the furniture in this new room. It was at this time we decided this was not the place for us. We told the maintenance man who then had to contact the manager again. For a luxury resort, i do not feel they were very luxurious. I hope this review helps anyone for future bookings. "

"Whenever i travel in ontario i make it a habit to visit Stevenson Inn and Spa. This beautiful B&B is tucked away from plain site, out in the country filled with warmth, renewal, peace and quiet. Owner even made special deluxe smoothies along with the continental breakfast that is included with each stay. Highly recommend. Lori Gradley"

"First impression….UhOh! pot-holed gravel parking area!!…NOTHING in any of 4or 5 outdoor planters…no signage to signify entrance…or Welcome to Best Western!!! Building in need of refreshing paint or siding… Had to track down housekeeping for towels and bath mat on our arrival. Next day proper towel exchange and garbages emptied and Keurig supplies refreshed…next day…garbage not emptied and no fresh towels etc! Staff pleasant..room rug filthy,. Not Intentionally trying to be unkind but, I have enjoyed Best Western Hotels on many visits but Fergus Best Western Plus, was a disappointment for us! Required full payment on arrival! Did not live up to expectations. Website stated ‘hot breakfast’ till 9:30am——changed to 9:00am. Little corners cut…Hotels are costly at best …and disappointment in many areas…makes it worse. I don’t think they live up to Best Western’s name….don’t believe I’ll ever return….No hint of Welcome!!!"
