"The river house was perfect for our group. First, it was immaculate. Literally sparkling clean. Second, the beds were comfortable (firmer mattress). Third, the house was comfortable and had everything we needed to cook meals. If you are looking for a different Hawaiian experience, one more authentic and away from the resorts, this home is perfect. It’s a short drive from the BEST beaches on the island (the North Shore is where it is at), a short drive to Hanalei town and Haena State Park (stunning). The house feels private and is peaceful. The only drawback (which is very small and I only mention because others did) is that occasionally, the dogs in the adjacent neighborhood really get going and become a barking choir for a few minutes. "This place is incredible. Just far away enough from the main center to feel mellow and a close walk to the beach. Huge plus that each room had an a/c unit. The outdoor shower scene is incredible. "

"This vacation was a 10 out of 10 and mostly due to this home! (Minus being evacuated for a tsunami for a night!) Everything was exactly as advertised, but the experience once we were there was better than expected! Arrival and check-in was super easy and not having to deal with keys was awesome! The interior was perfectly cleaned and ready for our arrival. The welcome basket and hand written note were lovely! I’m a sleep snobso I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the primary bed was! Confession: we did bring our own pillows, but after seeing the pillow selection, I don’t think we needed to. The sheets were super cozy and our big kids slept great in both of the other bedrooms and loved having their own bathrooms! We cooked dinner at home every night! Only thing we didn’t find was a cocktail shaker, but literally everything else you could want! Felt like we were at home! Small problem w/ants around the sink, but there was some ant spray we used a couple times, no biggie. We spent every night on the lanai! Use the citronella candles that are there! If you are prone to mosquito bites, use the bug spray! I got hit pretty hard! No AC wasn’t a huge deal. It was hot when u used the oven, but u just eat outside on the lanai. The bedroom fans worked great! The roosters weren’t an issue for us. Tons of chairs, towels, boogie/surf boards. You can play music thru the TV with Apple TV. Midweek cleaning is great! Talia was super responsive and helpful! Amazing home! "

"Those views though!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Wainiha. The home was exactly as listed. The host was communicative and even reached out to us directly during the tsunami situation. WiFi worked 100% of the time which is very important when you’re on the north shore. The home was clean, the two aside neighbors were very friendly, and we loved the three shops directly across the street. We hardly heard roosters our entire trip. Thanks Victoria!"

"Loved the proximity to the beach, the jungle feel, the deck for eating and sharing. The neighbors behind us were noisy early in the morning sometimes late at night. We enjoyed their fruit stand though. Appreciated the fans for air and noise cover. Always love the roosters. Dianna cleaned half way through our stay… thank you. She was great. Appreciated the beach chairs and boogey boards and washer and dryer. It was an easy house, lots of towels and kitchen equipment… we love Hanalei. Thank you"
