"In a lovely spot in the old town of Fribourg. Loads of things to do by foot although it is quite hilly. The lady on reception was amazing, really friendly and very helpful. If going back to the train station use the funicular, quite an experience (powered by sewage!) and takes all the hills out which is handy when you have cases"

"This is an excellent hotel. The staff, location and quality of dining is 5-star. I would stay again. Parking is an additional fee of SF15/day. The only complaint is there is no air conditioning in the rooms. On hot days, or even warm days, the rooms are overly warm and the only option is to wait until nightfall and open the patio door - which is a better option if you are not on the ground floor. "Reception asked if we wanted advice on where to eat, we declined but we only found one restaurant open as most places are closed on Mondays. Mercure has a bar but was closed. Mercure has a restaurant but was closed. The next morning we were asked if we enjoyed are stay and said yes but room was very hot. We were then told air-con will not be installed until end of 2023. Not impressed."
