Activity itinerary

Catedral Metropolitana

The Metropolitan Cathedral Nossa Senhora Aparecida, better known as Brasília Cathedral, designed by architect Oscar Niemeyer and with structural design by engineer Joaquim Cardozo, was the first monument to be created in the Federal Capital.
Esplanada dos Ministerios (Pass by)
The Ministries Esplanade is part of the Monumental Axis. Located in the eastern part of the "Monumental Eixão", it houses the Federal Government Organs. The buildings were designed by architect Oscar Niemeyer. The route, in Asia, was designed by urban planner Lúcio Costa and the landscaping of the Monumental Axis was done by Burle Marx.
Congresso Nacional
  • 20m
The National Congress is the constitutional body that performs, at the federal level, the functions of the Legislative Power. The Congress is bicameral, consisting of two houses: the Federal Senate and the House of Representatives.
Praca dos Tres Poderes
  • 20m
The Square of the Three Powers is a wide open space between the three monumental buildings that represent the three powers of the Republic: The Planalto Palace (Executive), the Supreme Federal Court (Judiciary) and the National Congress (Legislative). Like almost all the city's streets, the urban part was designed by Lúcio Costa and the constructions were designed by Oscar Nuemeyer with structural projects by Joaquim Cardozo.
Juscelino Kubitschek Bridge (Pass by)
The Juscelino Kubitschek Bridge, also known as the JK Bridge or Third Bridge, connects Lago Sul, Paranoá and São Sebastião to the central part of Brasilia, through the Monumental Axis.
Memorial JK
  • 30m
  • Admission ticket not included
Designed by Oscar Niemeyer, the JK Memorial was created with the special function of harboring the memories of Juscelino Kubitschek, and was designed by his wife Sarah Kubitschek. On site are JK's body, various belongings, such as his personal library and photos of him. It features works designed by Athos Bulcão outside, a stained glass window designed by artist Marianne Peretti.
Santuario Dom Bosco
  • 15m
Dom Bosco Sanctuary is one of Brasilia's best-known churches and one of the most frequent images on the city's postcards. Created by architect Carlos Alberto Naves, honouring the patron saint of Brasilia, Don Bosco, the construction of the sanctuary was the initiative of the Salecian Congregation in partnership with the Federal Government.
SQS 308 Quadra modelo
  • 10m
It is a model of how Lúcio Costa, urban planner responsible for Brasilia's projects, imagined that Brasilia's Super Quadras should be. It also has touches by Oscar Niemeyer, Athos Bulcão and Burle Marx.
Palacio da Alvorada

The Dawn Palace is a building designated as the official residence of the President of the Republic. It is located on the shores of Lake Paranoá, being the first building inaugurated in the Federal Capital on June 30, 1958.
