« We spent two nights in this excellent two bedroom cottage 15 minutes walk from Chch CBD. The cottage is spacious with separate dining and lounge areas which were very warm and comfortablewith elegant decor. The bedrooms were also spacious and comfortable. The well equipped galley kitchen provided everything we needed to self cater. Danielle is a very professional host and her communication about the property was timely and comprehensive. « Not only is Blackbird well designed it is nicely decorated. Although not a large cottage it was cozy and met our needs. »

« Very comfortable & well equipped, would’ve stayed longer if we’d known. But it was difficult to find! Google maps just took us to Glentunnel, where we got uncertain directions from the shop. »

« We were unaware it was only 2 bedrooms with 2 double beds... but worked just fine because the boys had sleeping bags on one bed. Dishwasher was not functioning safely with drawers unable to take weight so we chose to hand wash our dishes. Apart from that we enjoyed our stay. »

« Beautiful property but Old and Needing Maintenance. Power went out in kitchen, couldn't find circuit board/fuses. Toilet in master bath quit working, plumber had to be called. Lamp on wall above bed inoperative and loose. Light above sink in master bath is out. Property needs attention before I would recommend. Shame, great location with potential. »

« I didn’t actually get to stay there, thanks COVID you suck, but my friends tell me that the place was as described. Comfy and close to the pub, apparently that was a pre-requisite. Every group has that one guy who likes to complain mine said that the heating could be better but they live in a furnace so take that comment with a grain of salt. Next time I might be able to stay a night, but I need to say thanks on my mates behalf. »
