« We were fortunate that Michigan weather blessed us! Great location but the stairs to lower level are a challenge for elderly (we are 70 and 74). Next time we would go for upper level! Even so, they are pet friendly and we had a small dog so the space was great and gave her freedom contained by steps!! Would definitely recommend! »

« I needed a comfortable place to stay for a few nights. My days were packed so it was really just a place to lay my head. I was pleasantly surprised with the accommodations. The unit had a completely functional kitchen and it was very clean. It’s an old building renovated into separate apartments, buts it’s very functional. Floors were uneven in places but that’s expected in such an old building. Bathroom was clean and there was great water pressure in the shower. I will stay here again. »

« There is a lot to like about this property, much of which has been mentioned in other reviews. We particularly enjoyed the deck with the large yard which provided a nice quiet place to relax. But beyond that, for us it was all about the location. It was wonderful after a busy day at MIS to return and have a very comfortable space to stay. « This was our first time at Clarklake and it won’t be our last! The lake and surrounding area are beautiful. It was peaceful and comfortable and just lovely. Our hosts have done an amazing job of the house and properties they own and maintain! The beds were so comfortable, the furniture was as well. I loved the artwork!! Some of it has been made by the owner, Megan. It’s so pretty and there’s one piece I wouldn’t mind owning. We even had a sweet calico cat adopt us- she was so tame and let us pet...
