« I cannot express how happy I was to find this beautiful place! We stayed in the Drunken Sailor cottage and it felt like home. Owner thinks of lots of little details to make you feel welcome. Perfect location, very kind yet professional staff, welcomed us immediately. Gave great directions for a super easy checkin. I didn’t want to leave. I can’t wait to make this my “home” next time I visit Folly Beach! Thank you all! »

« We had corner room by the kitchen and elevator.. it was very plain and small. My sister had corner room to the left as you entered the house. It was very roomy and decorated so beautifully! We both paid same price .. I felt we didn’t have equality in rooms.. !! I found the breakfast to be very good and the afternoon cheese and wine to be very nice as well as the goodies and drinks provided in our rooms. Staff was awesome! »

« Very nice room and en suite. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Appreciate the coffee, wine, and water provided. Ask if your room is upstairs or downstairs if the spiral staircase would be a problem for you. The street traffic is a little noisy but didn’t really bother me. »

« I recently stayed at circa 1785 and had a fantastic experience! The self-check-in process was seamless, and the attention to detail was impressive. we really enjoyed having a glass of wine on the second-floor piazza, as well as morning coffee on the back porch with views of the waterfront across the street. « Such a wonderful stay, we've already booked another. After a few other failed attempts in the area, we found this retreat. My father-in-law lives nearby, so this is a frequent destination for us. A large one bedroom/one bath, with fantastic sitting area both indoor and outside allowed us to relax here for hours. Oscar the cat is a nice attendant (just don't allow him inside). Sightings of Meg the horse are amazing. Of course, the host, Julie, will greet you upon arrival if timing is right, and...
