“Great Location”
This hotel is located right next to the beach, so it is a great location. The service is excellent. The only complaints I have are that the walls are pretty thin so I could hear people talking in the next room and that they play elevator-type music in the hallways during the day, which I could also hear in my room.
“Great location”
Fantastic location on the beach. Extra charge for ocean view was worthwhile. Reception staff were very helpful.
“Superbe vue sur mer”
Très bien placé avec vue sur la mer salle de bain très confortable
“Enjoyable!”
Very nice hotel, the ocean view is awesome! We were delighted about the willingness of staff to help. The bar is great and the waiters are kind.
“San Sebastian Hotel”
Great hotel with a great deal of character. The construction in front of the hotel is an eyesore and has been there for over 1 year, all will be great when the construction is completed.
“Good hotel in a wonderful town”
Very pleasant hotel accomodations in this beautiful city -- had a room overlooking La Concha that met all expectations. Hotel staff was helpful, but not exceptionally so. Negative is that people sometimes congregated below the hotel(on the promenade) after visiting the numerous tapas bars(which are fabulous) in the old part of town -- tried to leave the french doors open to listen to the ocean, but at night, very often had to close them in order to sleep.... in spite of this, a hotel worth your consideration....
“Bay view a must”
As long as you have a room facing the Bay you will have a great stay - otherwise don't bother. The Hotel is old and has the usual problems of maintenance of such buildings. Our room (107) had a spectacular 180 degree view of the beach, bay and the mountains. The weather was dreadful (and unexpected) but the room made it tolerable.
“Not worth the Euros”
The location of the Hotel Londres cannot be beat, however, it is a very old hotel and in need of lots of TLC. It would have been easier to overlook the shabby carpet, bedding, paint, horrible room smell etc., were it not for the price. The card key system malfunctioned on my room and I was locked out for several hours while they kicked in the door and had to replace the whole mechanism. They were attentive and bought our dinner in the restaurant, which was more than I would have expected given their unfriendly service up to that point. They also did a test of their smoke system which left my room full of smoke and soot (and about 10 people trying to figure out what to do). Like I said, it's old and needs lots of updating. Next year, I will pay more and stay at the Maria Christina (Which continually showed up on my Expedia searches. Should have listened!). Although it is old as well, it has maintained its 5 star rating, and it is close to the surfer's beach which is where we ended up most of the time anyway.
