"The Nikko is in an excellent Hotel"
The Hotel Nikko is in an excellent location, the staff were extremely helpful, and the room was well equipped and very comfortable. I was especially happy about the Valet service and door men. I was able to get my car out quickly a couple of times a day, and they always referred to me by name. I was very impressed with the service. When I called the front desk asking if there was a store in the hotel to buy toothpaste, they said they would bring up some at no charge; and it arrived within 5 minutes! The only area that I think could improve; the conference room was too cold several times, and the coffee and hot water ran out quickly without replacement (I realized later that it would have been extra charge for my group to have unlimited supply of these items, but, Really? Is it that expensive for the hotel to just provide this? Most of us also stayed in the hotel, and purchased many extras; dinners, etc) I think this is an area that could use improvement. Otherwise, great experience. Cindy

"Luxury and personal service!!"
Perfect hotel...we stayed for three nights and loved each and every employee that we came across...the bell hops, the folks at the reservations desk, the concierges, honestly...everyone was friendly and professional! The room was beautiful, the lobby was gorgeous, and everything was a touch of high class...we felt pampered!!!

"Suite #102"
We love this hotel. The moment we checked in the staff set us at ease with their friendly, calm vibe. Our room was #102, a street side room with a queen and pullout couch. The room is such that it creates a feeling of a bedroom and living room complete with fireplace and stove top/sink. Our patio room allowed us to hand over the wet boards and wet suits without them ever coming into the room. The hotel has a nice outdoor patio with hot tub and heated pool adjacent to the firepit. At least one night the y had a bar at the fire. The hotel has a paved rec trail that leads to th ebeach about two blocks away. We checked out other beaches in the area but found them busy or having dangerous rip tides. Our beach was quiet and child friendly. We rented wet suits and boogie boards at Cowboy Surf shop just a couple miles down the road. For $10 a day it was a no brainer. The foghor other commented on couldn'y be heard in our room. When outside or on the beach, it was simply distant background noise alonfg with the sound of teh crashing waves. We spent a day in San Fran and couldn't wait to get back to the Beach house. This place is small enough to be a romantic couple getaway or family friendly paradise. Most of the time we had the pool to ourselves, the smaller size of the hotel allows it to be an individual experience. I am a picky person and I loved everything about our stay. I would definately reccomend it to couples or familes.

Great property. Well located. Will definitely stay there again. Overnight parking was quite a shock ($61 including taxes), but other than that, very pleased with the stay.

"A couple of blocks from Union Square"
Spent four nights there. The biggest plus was the staff. They were always very friendly and accommodating. We read reviews about being close to the Tenderloin; we never had any problems. Area was like any other area around Union Square. Couple of blocks walk from the BART. Just take Powell up to Geary and turn left and go a couple of blocks. We used Google while walking to get directions from the BART and ended up walking through the Tenderloin. It was mid afternoon and no one bothered us.

"Friendly staffs"
Our family really enjoyed our stay. First and foremost, the staffs are friendly. Secondly, it is close to shopping areas and other food chains. Lastly, the hotel is very clean. However, we only wish that the internet should be free of charge.
