This Scottsdale resort's 32,000-square-foot health-and-beauty spa contains a 75-foot, three-lane outdoor lap pool and 14-person spa tub bordered by cactus-garden sunning terraces furnished with cushioned rattan lounge chairs. Private poolside cabanas containing compact refrigerators, ceiling fans, fruit, bottled water, cushioned seating, and scented towels can be rented by the day. The spa includes an expansive fitness center containing cardio machines with televisions, weight machines, and free weights, and offers a mountain-bike simulator. A large exercise studio offers scheduled classes such as BOSU balance training, tai chi, aerobics, yoga, and Pilates. Individual evaluations, based on Dr. Kenneth Cooper's Personalized Aerobic Lifestyle System (PALS), are offered, as are computerized body-composition analyses, personal training, and nutrition counseling.

JW Marriott Camelback Inn Scottsdale Resort & Spa offers 453 spacious guestrooms in one- and two-story, cream-colored casitas with log-and-lodge pole trim bordered by cactus gardens. Southwestern pottery and art grace rooms, which feature balconies or patios accessed through French doors and furnished with two-chair dining sets and lounge chairs. Wet bars include compact refrigerators and microwave ovens, and rooms also have minibars.
Beds feature pillowtop mattresses, 300-thread-count sheets, down blankets, lightweight down comforters with off-white covers and jewel-tone trim, chenille throws, and five pillows per bed.
Wireless (high-speed) Internet access is available for a surcharge. Each room also includes two speakerphones, one cordless.
Decor features cream-colored stucco walls, log ceilings, and rustic-finish furniture, including desks. Dressing benches, suit valets, and cushioned reading chairs/ottomans provide convenience and comfort. Bathrooms have two vanity sinks, shower/tub combinations, curved shower rods, bathrobes, and slippers.

The resort's main pool complex features a 150-foot-long, freeform swimming pool that includes a 75-foot long, two-lane lap-pool section; two 20-person spa tubs; and a children's play area with interactive fountains and sprays. Another pool, this one shaped like a blossom and roughly measuring 60-feet-square, contains a fountain and is bordered by flower-fringed sunning and dining terraces.

Use of this pool is confined to guests age 16 or older that pay daily surcharges for access to the spa's recreation and fitness facilities and to guests booking spa treatments. Guests also have access to a complimentary fitness center.
Located one mile from the main resort complex and accessible by complimentary shuttles, the resort's Camelback Golf Club features two championship courses. The Resort Course offers bunkers, water hazards, and panoramic mountain views. Lined by palm trees along a natural-contour wash, the links-style Club Course offers secluded sand traps and water holes. The club also includes a golf school, a driving range, putting greens, chipping areas, and club/shoe rentals. Hopalong College, a seasonal children's program, is offered during holiday periods.
The tennis pavilion features three all-weather courts lit for night play, and one screened for private play. Lessons, clinics, ball machines, and racquet rentals are also available. The resort includes a 1.75-mile hiking trail through Mummy Mountain foothills, and a pitch-and-putt course. Mountain bikes are available for rent. A complimentary, guided power walk through the community surrounding the resort is offered daily. Rock climbing is four miles away.

“Awesome resort- Camelback Inn!”
We found the Camelback Inn to be awesome! The room was clean and spacious with a very nice outdoor patio. The pool was wonderful with a great wait staff with a wonderful view of Camelback Mountain and Mummy Mountain. The gym had all of the amentities we needed and then some!

Great location for my event at the Franciscan Renewal Centre. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful with the exception of one person at the breakfast restaurant who was efficient but curt. Will definitely return.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Camelback Inn - the staff was friendly and helpful, the resort is beautiful, the rooms were comfortable, and the food was great. We also enjoyed golf at the Indian Bend course and the Spa was excellent!
“Gorgeous Resort”
So beautiful - flowering cactus, flowers, orange trees everywhere. You had an individual patio which looked out on this scene. Food in the resort was excellent. Spa was over priced, but there were others nearby. Easy and convenient, but best to have a car. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Art in old Scottsdale was awesome.
