"Really great place "
This place is absolutely fantastic. I couldn't believe how large the loft was that I got. It was clean, and overall very nice. I really appreciated the extra air conditioning unit near the bed since I like to sleep cold. Would definitely stay there again or recommend to a friend.

"Nice boutique hotel"
We stayed in a suite that very clean and had a nice jacuzzi. The service was prompt when we made requests. Included in the price was breakfast, which featured scrambled eggs, a variety of breads for toast, jam, cheese, croissants, juice, tea, coffee & cereal. It was all very fresh, and was laid out buffet style in a small dining room. Our suite faced the street, which at any other time of year would be fine (and we knew it was a busy street), but there happened to be a street festival happening, with live bands playing until 3am, so research that area's events before you book! All in all, we loved the hotel, and will definitely stay there again!

"Good location on a budget"
Hotel room was clean although bed slipped away from the wall as soon as you sat on it - this was easily rectified though. You get breakfast served to your room of French bread, 2 croissants, with butter, jam and peanut butter sachets, 2 cartons of juice and either tea or coffee. Room got very hot, but the room also had air con so not too much of a problem. Wifi was also provided.

"Lord Berri rocks"
Location is superb. Right at one edge of the gay village and you can see the metro from the entrance. Price was good and the staff were great. Not that I have any major complaints but wifi was not good. Room is good but a little old. Also when I tried to call and reserve they told me they have only two nights. Booking through Expedia got me three nights. The guy who I spoke with on the phone was a little obnoxious. Why couldn't they get me three nights? I felt better going through Expedia. They even stored our bags for us after we xhecked out. Overall definitely a good stay and I would recommend Hotel Lord Berri!

The room was pretty hot and it was not comfortable at all. The fan was very noisy, which didn't help. Also, there was no bible in my room.

Auberge Le Pomerol

"Great location downtown, but dark & a bit dowdy"
Located close to central bus station right downtown. Economy rooms located on busy street, very noisy. Rooms at back quiet but dark. Poor lighting in rooms.Bathroom sink was backed up. pillows had stale smell. Breakfast basket very nice and healthy, staff friendly, lobby cosy. Bed was comfortable. Wifi free. I would stay again in room facing back (parking lot) as quieter. But would really appreciate better lighting. Still among most economical downtown hotels. Detest the 'room tax' which is just a freebie for hotels.

"decent hotel, rude staff"
Rooms are comfortable enough, a bit dated though. the main downfall was staff to be honest, not friendly or helpful at all. to the point where it was almost a nuisance that you were asking them to do their job.

The Latin Quarter is also home to the biggest LBGT-friendly area of the city. Falling mostly along the rue Saint-Catherine, this section of the city is the site of the annual Montreal Pride Celebration.

The biggest attraction of town is the Grand Bibliotheque. This massive library is home to thousands of tomes and archives. It’s common to see both students and locals relaxing in the aisles with a good book in hand. The Cinematheque is another popular spot in the neighbourhood. Founded in 1963, the Cinematheque is a movie conservatory, with dozens of preserved films. There are often public showings for visitors--though keep in mind, most movies are shown in French.
