"Close to hospital St-Luc , convenient"
Lots of summer travellers. Had to visit a family member at the hospital and stayed one night. Easy 10 steps from the hospital. Cant be closer. Rooms dark, could get a fresh layer of paint. Some chips on the wall. Small, dark, convenient room with all the amenities. Cheap and affordable so good ratio quality/price.

"FUN in Montreal!"
Somewhere between a hotel and hostel. Had our own bathroom for a couple extra bucks a night... worth it! Great location, walking distance to everything. Friendly and helpful staff.

"Spacious"
The most spacious room/suite ever! Loved it but staying one night we made little use of it. The only problem with the building is sound carrying from other guests but not a major problem.

"Charming old hotel with nice staff"
This is an old Victorian hotel with some of the usual Montreal old-hotel mustiness, but it is comfortable, very charming with all of the original woodwork and mouldings, and quiet. I would recommend it. My room was spacious and clean, the bed was firm and comfortable, and I heard not a sound all night, despite having the window open for fresh air. The staff were very friendly. The one problem I experienced was that the lights didn't work in the bathroom. I was there for only one night so I didn't bother to tell the staff until I checked out, but I'm sure they would have addressed it if I had notified them earlier (there was sufficient light coming from the room).

"Nice small hotel"
This is a nice small hotel, conveniently located near Rue St. Denis, transit stops, shopping, and other conveniences. Old Montreal is within walking distance. Rooms are attractively furnished. The best feature is breakfast - a cute basket with yogurt, fruit, croissants, and muffins delivered to your door in the morning. You may eat at your leisure in your room, or take your basket downstairs to the small dining room and supplement it with cold cereal, toast, etc. We are late sleepers and appreciated having good coffee and breakfast in our room every morning.

For starters, you can’t miss the University of Quebec Montreal. The school has given rise to bookshops, late-night cafes, and lived-in pubs. The Latin Quarter is also home to the biggest LBGT-friendly area of the city. Falling mostly along the rue Saint-Catherine, this section of the city is the site of the annual Montreal Pride Celebration.

The biggest attraction of town is the Grand Bibliotheque. This massive library is home to thousands of tomes and archives. It’s common to see both students and locals relaxing in the aisles with a good book in hand. The Cinematheque is another popular spot in the neighbourhood. Founded in 1963, the Cinematheque is a movie conservatory, with dozens of preserved films. There are often public showings for visitors--though keep in mind, most movies are shown in French.
