"Lovely hotel, close to everything."
I was staying with 3 other friends, so the price for the room was really good! We were fortunate enough to get a newly renovated room. The hotel was in a very convenient location; the subway station( Berri/UQAM) was about a 2 minute walk down the road, and St.Catherine street was about the same. Lovely cafes and such to grab breakfast if you didn't opt for the buffet. And the staff were very nice and always smiling.

"Location Location Location"
The staff were nice and friendly which was a great welcoming to the city. The rooms themselves are a bit tight-- we had the double bed with private bathroom. It was a bit difficult to groom myself int he shower as it was pretty tight but other than that the bathroom was appropriate. The room was clean except for the walls which had dirt or scratches from what I can assume is furniture... or people trying to move around. This was okay with us since we did not spend a lot of time in the hotel. Also, the room did not have a table to eat on despite there being a kitchenette. The continental breakfast was nice, the people tending the space were very attentive, the only thing I would have liked to see is fruits and yogurt. The location was perfect in an area with an abundance of restaurants, bars and cafes. There was a nice mix of tourists and locals. I found that we could walk everywhere with no issues-- we walk quite often in our own city.

"Fantastic hotel for quick stop-over!"
I only spent one night in Montreal but this hotel was perfect. I arrived a few hours before the actual check-in but they already had my room ready so I was able to drop off my suitcase to visit the city. I had to leave early the next morning but the hotel staff were very accommodating and flexible and bought my breakfast to my room at 5am. The hotel is very close to the bus terminal so it's very easy to get to the airport via bus even at 5am.

"Best Hotel Stay Ever!"
Once Les Suites Labelle learned that I was an Expedia VIP member they provided the best hotel upgrade I have ever experienced - a stunning executive suite on the top floor with a magnificent view of the downtown and eastern Montreal - at no additional cost. With a warm buffet style breakfast for all this was an experience to be repeated!

"Perfect for the weekend!"
This is the second year in a row that we have stayed at Hotel Elegant while in Montreal. And we were just a pleased with it this year as we were last year. We were in town for the Comic Convention and were not in our room for much time, but it was exactly what we were looking for! Pleasant staff, clean room and parking right in front of the hotel! Couldn't ask for more(and at an awesome price). I would absolutely book there again!

    Latin Quarter Hotels Guide

Strolling through the lantern-dotted Latin Quarter in Montreal is a beautiful way to spend the evening. This area of town is well-known for its artist expression and intellectual culture. The University of Quebec Montreal is located in the neighbourhood, giving rise to bookshops, late night cafes, and lived-in pubs. The Latin Quarter is also home to the biggest LBGT-friendly area of the city. Falling mostly along the rue Saint-Catherine, this section of the city is the site of the annual Montreal Pride Celebration.

The biggest attraction of town is the Grand Bibliotheque. This massive library is home to thousands of tomes and archives. It’s common to see both students and locals relaxing in the aisles with a good book in hand. The Cinemathque is another popular spot in town. Founded in 1963, the Cinematheque is a movie conservatory, with dozens of preserved films. There are often public showings for visitors--though keep in mind, most movies are shown in French.
