"A Day in Old Montreal"
We were initially impressed when the hotel staff answered our email question as to how to get there from the Amtrak Station. The answer was back to us in about 5 minutes! When we arrived we found a quaint hotel in an old building and were greeted by the friendly desk clerk. We found the entire hotel as well as the room clean. Our stay for two nights was very comfortable.

"convenient location, friendly staff."
3 nights: very lucky to get a clean corner room (Queen room has bathtub), so excellent day-lighting + enough space for 2 people. enough outlets for re-charging. each brekkie: a warm pc of pre-sliced baguette plus warm croissant, comes w/ peanut butter, jam, butter, honey (i put in coffee), Tea/Cf, juice box. small fridge is handy since IGA Grocery right across street on St Cath has sushi/cold/hot food take out! then i found the food court (lots of choices) beside IGA leads to Berri-Uq Station which was great since it was raining. plus lots of dining choices St Cath, St Denis nearby. room temp perfect as it got cold in MTL in late Sep, has extra blanket in drawer if needed. one front staff was willing to boil water when i needed, thanks !

"Perfect for the weekend!"
This is the second year in a row that we have stayed at Hotel Elegant while in Montreal. And we were just a pleased with it this year as we were last year. We were in town for the Comic Convention and were not in our room for much time, but it was exactly what we were looking for! Pleasant staff, clean room and parking right in front of the hotel! Couldn't ask for more(and at an awesome price). I would absolutely book there again!

Great experience ... I would stay here again . Very Convient to the plateau section of Montreal . There is a parking lot 20 feet from hotel that only charges $15 to park all day and u can come and go as many times . It's better than paying $22 plus tax a day at the hotel .

"Great location and nice room."
I had a good room. The service was great. The only problem was that the staff would abruptly turn on the heat late at night and the room would become steamy hot. I had to go to the reception every night and ask them to turn it down, because it was impossible to sleep. Excellent location. Great service. Very affordable prices. I liked the place, otherwise and would recommend it to everyone.

For starters, you can’t miss the University of Quebec Montreal. The school has given rise to bookshops, late-night cafes, and lived-in pubs. The Latin Quarter is also home to the biggest LBGT-friendly area of the city. Falling mostly along the rue Saint-Catherine, this section of the city is the site of the annual Montreal Pride Celebration.

The biggest attraction of town is the Grand Bibliotheque. This massive library is home to thousands of tomes and archives. It’s common to see both students and locals relaxing in the aisles with a good book in hand. The Cinematheque is another popular spot in the neighbourhood. Founded in 1963, the Cinematheque is a movie conservatory, with dozens of preserved films. There are often public showings for visitors--though keep in mind, most movies are shown in French.
