"Budget Hotel in a pleasant location."
Overall it served the purpose of my trip, which was to attend the 1st Test Match between West Indies and England. I breakfasted in the hotel, but no other meals were available, and it was necessary to walk some distance or taxi for dinner.

"Quaint Antiguan Cottages"
Nice, peaceful stay. Beautiful beach within 5 minute walk---pleasant pond on the property with a variety of bird visitors. Wonderful hosts (owners), who reside on the property. They took us to a supermarket our first day and had great recommendations for restaurants. Although the location was off the beaten track, you could participate in day excursions or get your own car and explore the island. There are a ton of beautiful beaches to explore. A real Antiguan experience!

"Pretty Perfect Location But Requires An Overhaul!"
I stayed at this hotel for two (2) nights while on a business trip. The hotel is located in the city and close to a number of areas of interest. The hotel itself is quite old and in dire need of updating. Breakfast is offered but the menu items require some modification. The staff is just okay in terms of their customer service orientation. In summary and conclusion, I would say that the hotel requires an over haul

"Lovely Oasis"
We recently returned from a wonderful visit to Antigua and spent two nights here. It's a lovely boutique hotel that is immaculately maintained by a wonderful and welcoming staff. The only problem we had was a water heater that went on the blink. We were without hot water for 15 hours. All in all, it wasn't a disaster since tap water was lukewarm and the outside temp was in the 80's! Go there!!

"nice little hotel on the beach"
my husband, our two daughters and myself stayed here for a week in April. it was very reasonably priced and had so many good reviews on TA that we decided to book it. we were not disappointed. we got a one bedroom unit, which was perfect fine for us. the sofa bed wasn't awful, but the mattress was covered in plastic so we could hear our girls if they moved around while sleeping. the unit was always well maintained and clean. we loved having the small kitchen and there was a good selection of pots and pans and we actually made 2 dinners and breakfast/lunch most days. given that there aren't many restaurants within walking distance, this worked out well for us. the trip to the grocery was fairly painless and they have a good selection of products so it worked out well. pricewise, it seemed like NYC prices to us so nothing too shocking. you have to take a cab there, but the drivers would wait and bring us back. the staff was lovely to deal with. the pool was a nice place to relax after the beach. we loved the little beach and how calm it was. we didn't think the restaurant on the beach was anything to write home about. mediocre food and mediocre service and $4 for takeaway cup of coffee. crazy. but good in a pinch.

"confusing experience but not without it's charms"
Simply put. This hotel which looks like it holds hundreds of people had between 8-15 guests the entire time we stayed -which was one week. This was during the busy season ( Feb, dry season ). Other hotels like nearby Sandals were teaming with tourists of all types. Now this was utterly weird to us, especially on our initial walk around the hotel and beach. There are 3 restaurants, but only 1 will be open a open once a day for a few hours so- if your hungry before 7pm but after 4pm- you're out of luck. Arranging for a taxi isn't as easy as you might think and they encourage you to book the driver in advance through the front desk. Not what I was expecting with a hotel of this size. The two biggest bummers where there were two menus at the restaurants and we got tired of the food, and the condition of the hotel is noticeably bad. Broken ice machines, bathroom door in our room didn't close or lock, wobbly railing on our ocean view room on the top floor (8th), outdated non HD tv with annoying lines across the screen, limited drink options. The whole place was operating on a shoe string budget. We popped for the ocean view room with a breakfast plan at around 300 US per night so overall not the fit and finish you'd expect for that cash. Redeeming qualities were the vacant beach, which is gorgeous! Felt nice to have it all to ourselves seemingly. If you plan on spending your entire trip at the hotel you might want to reconsider, the limited food options will bug you quickly.
